PUNJAB STATE INTER DISTRICT UNDER-19 YEARS ONE DAY TOURNAMENT: AMRITSAR BEAT FEROZEPORE BY 69 RUNS

The Punjab State Inter District Under-19 years One Day Tournament was started on 27th July, 2021. The second stage of League Matches were played today at various District Headquarters and detailed results are as under: -

Amritsar beat Ferozepur by 69 runs

Amritsar VS Ferozepur match was played at Gandhi Ground, Amritsar. Due to wet outfield match was reduced to 27 overs each side. Ferozepur U-19 won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first Amritsar was bundled out for 130 in 27 overs. Taranveer Singh 30 and Vansh Rishi 26 were the highest run getters for Amritsar. Sagar Sawal 3 for 29, Sachin Choudhary 2 for 24 and Komalpreet Sidhu 2 for 10 were the highest wicket takers for Ferozepur. In reply Ferozepur was bundled out for 61 in 20.2 overs. Skipper Manroop Singh 4 for 30 and Vansh Sehgal 3 for 11 were the highest wicket takers for Amritsar. With this win Amritsar got 4 points while Ferozpur got 0.

Mohali beat Ludhiana by 6 wickets (VJD Method)

Ludhiana VS Mohali match played at GRD Academy Ludhiana. Due to wet out field match was reduced to 23 overs. Mohali won the toss and opted to field first.Ludhiana was 124 for 7 in 22 overs before the passing shower came. BhavishSethi 53 and Sanyam Gill 29 were the highest run getters for Ludhiana.Harshdeep Singh 4 for 10 was the highest wicket taker for Mohali. Mohali got revised target of 121 runs in 20 overs (VJD method). In reply Mohali were 122 for 4 in 19.3 overs and got 4 points while Ludhiana got 0. Aryan Bhatia 26* and Jovanpreet Singh 23 were the highest run getters for Mohali.

Fazilka beat Faridkot by 4 wickets.

Faridkot vs Fazilka match played at Barjindra College, Faridkot. Fazilka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Due to wet outfield match was reduced to 20 overs each side. Batting first Fardikot was bundled out for 152 for 9 in 20 overs. Jaspreet Singh 57 off 28 balls (5X4)(3X6) and Avijit Singh 34 off 22 balls (2X4) (3X6) were the highest run getters for Faridkot. Gursewak Singh 4 for 23 and Nikhil Setia 3 for 25 were the highest wicket takers for Fazilka. Fazilka in reply scored 153 for 6 in 20 overs and got 4 points.Nikhil Setia 65 off 41 balls (5X4)(2X6) and Rahul Saxena 32 off 34 balls (1X4) were the highest run getters for Fazilka. Anmol 2 for 27 was the highest wicket taker for Faridkot.

Fatehgarh Sahib beat Moga by 8 wickets

Moga vs Fatehgarh Sahib Match played at KIPS, Moga. Due to wet outfield match was reduced to 20 overs each side. Fatehgarh Sahib won the toss and elected to bowl first. Moga batting first were all out for 80 in 18.4 overs. Mukandeep Singh 19 was the highest scorer for Moga. Adesh Kumar 3 for 8, Ajaypal Singh 3 for 7 and Armaan 2 for 17 were the successful wicket takers for Fatehgarh Sahib. Fatehgarh Sahib in reply was 83 for 2 in 19 overs and got 4 points while Moga got 0. Jaskaranvir Singh 35* and Rimanjeet Singh 26 were the main run getters for Fatehgarh Sahib.

Kapurthala beat Nawanshahar by 2 wickets

Nawanshahar vs Kapurthala match was played at Govt College, Kapurthala. Kapurthala won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first Nawanshaharwas bundled out for 67 in 19.5 overs. Eish Rao 32 was the highest run getter for Nawanshahar. Aks Sharma 3 for 7, Garv Sharma 2 for 6 and Sameer 2 for 7 were the highest wicket takers for Kapurthala. Kapurthala in reply scored 70 for 8 in 19.1 overs and got the target. With this win Kapurthala got 4 points while Nawanshahar got 0. Jagshan Singh 29 was the highest run getter for Kapurthala. Manik Khanna 3 for 11, Manav Vashishst 2 for 19 and Vivek 2 for 5 were the highest wicket takers for Nawanhshar.

Barnala vs Patiala
Barnala vs Patiala match at Dhruv Pandove stadium, Patiala was abandoned due to rain and both the teams were shared 2 points each.
Sangrur VS Mansa
Sangrur vs Mansa match at Ranbir college Cricket ground, Sangrur was abandoned due to rain and both the teams were shared 2 points each.
Gurdaspur VS Jalandhar
Gurdaspur vs Jalandhar at Govt. College, Gurdaspur was abandoned due to rain and both the teams were shared 2 points each.
