Speaking about his joining at RoundGlass Punjab FC, Shankar said, “I observed RGPFC in the I-League in Kolkata last season. Despite being a fresh entrant, it was the most professional club. I am excited to be part of the club and help the team win and achieve its goals.”

Having worked with our new Head Coach Ashley Westwood earlier, Shankar added. “It’s great to be working with Ashley again. He is very demanding but he treats all players equally and wants them to be totally fit,” he said

RGPFC First Team Head Coach Ashley Westwood said that Shankar presence in the middle would help plug the defence gaps while supporting the attack. “Shankar has a good attitude, and he can assess the game situation quickly and adapt accordingly,” he said.

Welcoming Shankar, Nikolaos, Football Director, RGPFC said, “Shankar has a good experience, having played in the I-League as well as ISL over the years. He has been a consistent campaigner. I am sure his experience at the top level would yield good results for us,” he said.
