Ranstar Cricket Club Delhi vs MPCA

Winning the toss at Maharaja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Ranstar Cricket Club Delhi who won their opening match yesterday, decided to field against MPCA. MPCA opened with Prithviraj Tomar and Dev Barnale and they put on 41 runs for the first wicket in 11.1 overs before Dev Barnale was caught by Bishnoi off Harshit for 14 inclusive of 2 boundaries. Prithviraj Tomar went on to score 44 off 70 balls studded with 5 boundaries.

Yash Dube with 35 off 51 balls inclusive of 1 boundary and one six and Akshit Raghuvanshi 69 off 73 balls inclusive of 5 boundaries and three sixes gave the necessary fillip to the MPCA innings. Thereafter Aryan Deshmukh hit a quickfire 40 off 30 balls laced with two huge sixes to take the MPCA total to 264 for 8 in the stipulated 50 overs. For Ranstar Cricket Club Subodh Bhatti 3 for 41 and Chetanya Bishnoi 3 for 70 were the main wicket takers.

Replying to the Baroda’s total of 220, Delhi Capitals Development Squad made a spirited reply with a partnership of 97 runs in 101 balls for the 2nd wicket between Dinesh Mor (49) off 52 balls and Rajesh Sharma (44) off 51 balls. Later Upender Yadav 40 off 34 balls with 3 boundaries and one six and Mayank Rawat unbeaten 47 off 36 balls with one boundary and three sixes saw his team reach the target of 223. Prerak Mankad for his alround display was named the Trident Man of the Match. For Baroda Pradeep Yadav 3 for 45 was the most successful bowler.

Replying Ranstar Cricket Club Delhi made 251 (revised target due to rain) for 9 in 45.5 overs to record 1 wicket win and garner 4 points. Pradeep Malik (52) off 55 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sites , Sumit Verma 38 off 37 balls with 2 boundaries and one six and thereafter Pranshu with 86 off 60 balls with 7 boundaries and six huge sixes ensured a pulsating win for his team. For his pulverizing innings Pranshu got the Trident man of the match for his spirited batting display. He was involved in a match winning stand of 93 runs for the 7th wicket. For MPCA the bowling honours were shared by Adhir Partap 2 for 37 and Aryan Deshmukh 2 for 27.

Baroda Cricket Association vs Delhi Capitals Development Squad

In the second match which was reduced to a 35 affair between Baroda Cricket Association and Delhi Capitals Development Squad at GMSSS Sector 26 because of early morning showers. The match was reduced to 35 a side affair. Delhi Capital Development Squad won the toss and opted to field . Baroda opened with Jyotsnil Singh and Amit Passi and the duo put on 48 runs for the first wicket before Amit Passi was caught by Mayank Rawat off Rahul Gehlot for 30 off 22 balls inclusive of 4 boundaries and one six. Thereafter, Ahmednoor Pathan joined Jyotsnil Singh and two put on 85 runs for the second wicket to take the total to 133 in 21.1 overs before Ahmednoor Pathan was caught by Aryan Kapoor off Prerak Mankad for 37 off 44 balls inclusive of 2 huge sixes.

Jyotsnil Singh was the next to go being run out by Upender Yadav while trying to go for the non existent second run for 64 off 62 balls studded with 5 boundaries and three lofty sixes. Baroda kept on losing wickets at regular intervals while Shivalik Sharma kept one end up being the last man to be dismissed when he was caught by Shiva Siva Singh off Rahul Gehlot for 55 off 33 balls inclusive of 4 boundaries and two sixes. Baroda innings ended at 220 for all in 34.2 overs. For Delhi Capitals squad Shiva Singh 3 for 34, Prerak Mankad 3 for 41 and Rahul Gehlot 2 for 37 were the most successful bowlers.
