DAV educational institutions have intensified campaign with full thrust again in view of the polling date fixed for September 26 for the graduates’ constituency in the Panjab University Senate, which was adjourned last month as Punjab government did not allow use of school complexes on a working day.

The seriousness of the DAV Managing Committee towards this election can be gauged from the fact that the staff of DAV education institutions resumed an enthusiastic door-to-door voter-contact campaign in favour of Prof Manish Wayyar of Abohar origin who is now working in Chandigarh.

HR Gandhar, the former Principal of DAV College Abohar and presently the Vice President of DAV College Managing Committee, who specially reached Abohar today was warmly received by the academicians. Abohar area has the highest number of PU graduates in Fazilka district; those were registered as voters and have been playing a vital role in the polls.
