TALENT SHOW, QUIZ COMPETITION MARKS WORLD TOURISM DAY

A function was organized at the Allied College of Hospitality Culinary Arts & Management to mark the World Tourism Day here.  The day was marked by a quiz competition and a talent show by the students.

All the students participated & represented the international culture of different countries. Students also participated in quiz competitions which were based on international tourism, general knowledge, international cuisines and current affairs. They also showcased their talent by representing different countries, their rituals, sports, dances, dresses, art and craft and famous monuments. The workshop was attended by students, faculty and dignitaries from the hospitality industry.

Pankaj Jasrotia, Principal of the institute said, “World Tourism Day gives an extensive experience to students by fostering awareness of tourism's social, cultural, political and economic value and the contribution that the sector can make towards reaching the tourism development goals.” ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth’ is the theme of World Tourism Day, which falls on 27th September.Chief guests on the occasion were Gagandeep Singh Virk, MD Hotel Park Plaza Chandigarh. Ashwani Kumar, GM Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, Sitesh Srivastva, Principal AIHM Chandigarh and Sunali Jasrotia, Director, Allied College of Hotel Management.

The event was held in collaboration with the Food Production Club, F&B Service Club, of the institute and attended by all faculty members and management.
