NEPAL MODULE OF DRUGS SYNDICATE BUSTED, ONE NEPAL NATIONAL ARRESTED WITH 15 KG CHARAS

ESTIMATED VALUE OF SEIZED CHARAS IS MORE THAN RS. 60 LAKHS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET

In a major catch, the Inter-Border Gangs Investigation Squad of the Crime Branch has busted Nepal Module of Drugs Syndicate and arrested a Nepal based mule with 15 kilograms of fine quality Charas. Estimated value of the seized Charas is more than Rs. 60 lakhs in the International Market. The arrested accused identified as Nand Lal Mali (19) Resident of Birganj, Nepal. 

Ct. Gajanand and Ct. Kuldeep Singh posted in Crime Branch received secret information about Nand Lal Mali. A team led by ACP Girish Kaushik comprising of SI Mahabir Singh, SI Yudhvir Singh, ASI Ram Lal, HC Rajeev Sahrawat, Ct. Om Prakash, Ct. Manjeet, Ct. Mahesh, Ct. Gajanand, Ct. Mukesh and HC/Dvr. Sunil was constituted to nab him.

Mr. Alok Kumar, IPS, JCP, said, a trap was laid and Nand Lal Mali was arrested near Samalkha T-Point NH-8 Dwarka link Road, Delhi. 15 Kg fine quality of Charas was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case under NDPS Act was registered and he was arrested.

In 2019, he came in contact with one Suraj, who is a notorious Drugs Mafia in Nepal and runs his drug syndicate with one Prakash Pahadia. He supplies Charas in India, Bangladesh and Myanmar and other South-Asian countries.

Nand Lal Mali, age 19 years, belongs to Birganj, Nepal. In 2019, he came in contact with one Suraj, who is a notorious Drugs Mafia in Nepal and runs his drug syndicate with one Prakash Pahadia. He supplies Charas in India, Bangladesh and Myanmar and other South-Asian countries.

The Indian handler of the syndicate Wahid Ahmed was arrested by Crime Branch in August-2021 with consignment of 12 Kgs Charas. Once Wahid was arrested, the syndicate recruited Nand Lal Mali do his job. Nand Lal was paid Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per trip, depending upon the weight of the consignment.

His important Indian receivers are Intezar r/o Agra and Dharamvir @ Palla of Inderpuri, Delhi. After arrest, Nand Lal was taken on 3 days police remand. Raids are being conducted to trace Intezar and Dharamvir @ Palla. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
