VETERAN SOCIAL REFORMER RINWA REMEMBERED

Rich tributes were paid to eminent philanthropist and social reformer Hazari Lal Rinwa on his death anniversary during a function that was organised at Swami Keshwanand Senior Secondary School here on Thursday.

Rinwa was a close associate of octogenarian Swami Keshwanand former MP, freedom fighter and torchbearer of literacy. He had served as life-time president of historic Sahitya Sadan that was founded by the Swami here in the pre-independence era. He being a close associate of former Lok Sabha Speaker Bal Ram Jakhar also, took active part in development schemes in the region.

Municipal Corporation Mayor Vimal Thatai, Improvement Trust chairman Anil Nagpal, Sahitya Sadan president Surya Kant Rinwa, Panchayat Samiti ex-chairman Ravikant Rinwa, Swami Keshwanand Ayurvedic Hospital incharge Dr Sandeep Watts, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, educationist Saroj Nagpal, Principal Anurag Nagpal, Radheyshyam Gupta, Advocate Anil Kamra, Advocate Ashok Bajaj, Punjabi Sabhyachar Manch president Gurcharan Singh Gill, freedom fighter Chandi Ram Verma’s grandson Sanjiv Verma, Prof SK Oberoi and Ashok Sharma “Shastri” offered flower petals to portrait of the philanthropist. A Havan Yajna was also performed.
