GOPAL MANDIR IN ABOHAR INAUGURATED ON VIJAY DASHAMI

The grand inauguration of the newly built Shri Mathuradass Lajwanti Hiteshi Memorial Shri Gopal Mandir and Gopal Satsang Hall in the local Gaushala premises and the idol life consecration was held with pomp on the Vijay Dashami here.

Swami Shravanand Ji Saraswati Maharaj, who came from Shridham Vrindavan, wasthe chief guest. Municipal Corporation Mayor Vimal Thatai and Improvement Trust chairman Anil Nagpal were present on the occasion. 

Notably Mathura Dass Hiteshi had served as journalist, councilor, bank manager and Chairman of the Improvement Trust here for a long time. His family has dedicated the foundation to the services rendered by him.

While presiding over the function, Foundation chairman Bharat Hiteshi of Panchkula announced to donate Rs 1 lakh each year to the Gaushala for the cow grass.A Havan Yagna was performed earlier. Bharat Hiteshi offered prayers and received the blessings of God. In Shiva Mandir, Bharat and his cousin Kulbhushan Hiteshi performed Jalabhishek. Senior members of the Foundation who came from Panchkula also visited the complex and congratulated the Gaushala Managing Committee for this wonderful project. Bharat also lauded philanthropist Surinder Batra for making Rs 4-crore contribution to develop a second gaushala complex on the Fazilka road.

Former president of the Municipal Council, Faquir Chand Goyal, who had taken over the charge as president of the Gaushala nine years back could not control emotions while expressing gratitude to the people for unlimited support that the managing committee received in renovating the more than 100 years old complex.

Secretary Rakesh Kalani said the number of cows had increased from 800 to more than 2000by now, each day Rs 15000 was needed to provide feed to them. More than hundreds regular donors had come forward.
