To carry forward the “Nashon se door, khelon ki aur” drive launched by IFFO former chairman Surinder Kumar Jakhar, the SJT will organise a marathon race on Sunday, November 14 at 6:30 am.

In this connection convener of the programme Sandeep Jakhar launched T-shirt for the participants. He said that during the lifetime of Surinder Jakhar, hundreds of medical camps were organized by the Trust giving the slogan 'Nashon se door, khelon ki aur' besides Sports festivals.

In view of the positive and impressive staging of the marathon in the last years, this time also marathon is being organized on November 14 that coincides with the birth anniversary of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru the first Prime Minister, the day is celebrated as Bal Diwas.

Three categories have been earmarked, in which boys and girls below 13 years of age will run for 2km, boys and girls open 5km and 10km. The winners will be awarded cash prizes of about Rs 1.5 lakh. Registration fee of the event has been fixed only Rs 100. All the participants in the marathon will be given certificates, sippers and T-shirts. Only the residents of district Fazilka can participate in the marathon.
