As per the responsibility assigned by the Punjab Archery Association, the trials for the selection of Punjab Sub Junior Team of Archery were conducted by LRS DAV Senior Secondary Model School at Abha Square ground.Sandeep Jakhar was the chief guest, Vimal Thatai, Mayor of the Municipal Corporation presided.

A total of 131 archers including boys and girls tried their luck in recurve, compound, Indian round and other different rounds.

The team of selected players will now represent the state of Punjab in the National Archery Competition to be held at Amravati (Maharashtra) from 21st November to 29th November.

The trials were inaugurated by Sandeep Jakhar by shooting arrows. Principal Smita Sharma while encouraging the archers said that it is a matter of great pride that the responsibility of organizing this tournament has been entrusted to the school by the Punjab Archery Association.

The principal honoured chief guest Sandeep Jakhar, Mayor Vimal Thatai, Punjab Archery Association vice-president Deendayal, secretary RK Bali with mementoes.
