CHANDIGARH TRAFFIC ALERT: ZIRAKPUR SIDE TRAFFIC DIVERTED FROM HALLO MAJRA

Traffic police on Wedensday issued advisorty regarding diversion of traffice due to the construction of Vehicular Under Pass is being carried out by the PWD department (Engineering), Mohali on NH-05 near Zirakpur Barrier, On outgoing road from Chandigarh to Zirakpur side. Traffic is being diverted from Hallo Majra Light point towards the road leading to Industrial Area Ph-II, Panchkula & Baltana/Dhakoli Zirakpur.

Police said, presently the service road adjoining the NH-05 on Zirakpur side is open for movement of Two-Wheeler/Light Motor Vehicles.

Medium & Heavy Vehicle (Goods & Passenger vehicle) are not able to ply on this stretch of service road adjoining NH-05 near Zirakpur Barrier on outgoing road.

Medium & Heavy Vehicle (Goods & Passenger vehicle) shall avoid the stretch of road from Hallo Majra Light point up to Zirakpur Barrier.

The following alternative routes may be used:-

Heavy/Medium goods vehicles vehicles/Intercity & Interstate buses drivers are advised to use the road from Tribune Chowk (Purav marg) to Transport Light point (Madhya Marg) road to Housing Board light point to Dhillon Barrier road or use road from Tribune Chowk (Purav marg) to Faidan Barrier (Sector 47/48) Light point (Purav Marg/ Vikas MARG T point intersection light point) road leading to PH-11 Mohali to International Airport road, Mohali to go towards Zirakpur/Ambala/Patiala /Delhi side.

Two-Wheeler/ Light Motor Vehicle drivers can use Service lane from Airport Light Point (Dakshin Marg) towards Zirakpur Barrier, but they are advised to keep patience and drive cautiously on this stretch.

Commuters are advised to adopt an alternative route, keep patience & cooperate with the police.

Commuters are advised to keep checking Chamdigarh Traffic police Social media Facebook / Twitter page and Google Maps for real-time updates of the Traffic diversion/road closers if any for the convenience of the general public.
