Abohar. A cycling expedition of Desert communicators from Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) to Bhopal (MP) was flagged off at Jaisalmer on Saturday. The cycling expedition is undertaken to commemorate the Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Desert Communicators.

The team comprising 12 cyclists would cover a distance of 1000 Km in 12 days to pay homage to the soldiers, who made supreme sacrifice for the nation and will also relive the golden journey of the Regiment from its raising in the Desert Sector to its present location at Bhopal.

The cycling expedition was flagged off by Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, GOC Sudarshan Chakra Corps from Jaisalmer War Memorial. The 12 days expedition will cover Jodhpur, Bar, Nasirabad, Kota, Rajgarh and finally culminate at Bhopal. During the journey the cycling team will interact with Veterans and Veer Naris and further connect with the youth to motivate them to join Indian Army.
