About 1200 boys and girls participated in the athletics meet that was organized by Surinder Jakhar Trust in village Sappanwali. Chief guest Sandeep Jakhar said that he was very happy that such a large number of players participated in the tournament and made it a success.

During his lifetime, my father Surinder Jakhar had organised hundreds of medical camps, sports festivals giving the slogan 'Nashon se door, khelon ki aur” slogan. The trust dedicated to his memory was organising similar competitions, he said.

n the two-day athletics meet, winners (toppers) in different competitions were Sanjan, Sukhwinder Kaur, Priyanka, Karishma, Shreya, Avikesh, Karandeep, Raj, Rohit, Rahul, Shiv, Ankush, Aryan, Manpreet Singh. Sandeep Jakhar and Jaiveer Jakhar rewarded all the winners with prizes.
