Abohar: After Miss World 2021 organisers announced to postpone the finale due to health and safety concerns, the contestants have started packing up for return travel to their respective countries.

Notably Miss India Manasa Varanasi and 16 others were found corona positive in the test conducted before the finale that was to be telecast Friday morning as per IST.

Sharing her experience, Shree Saini, the first Asian to be crowned Miss World America, said, “At Miss World, I am called "USA", not Shree. Being called by my country's name has been my life's greatest honour and I thank God. I believe in God's plan and God's will continue to protect us all at miss world.”

Confirming that Miss World is postponed due to covid epidemic, Shree said she was grateful for Miss World for prioritizing our health and safety. “I continue to wholeheartedly pray for my sisters who have tested positive and will be quarantined. For the rest of us, we are traveling back to our home countries and I pray for everyone's safety.”

Shree further said, “I look forward to being United very soon, back in Puerto Rico. The island of Puerto Rico is truly resilient. The people here are hardworking, loving and filled with love. In life, we will continue to face many kinds of challenges and I believe, our ability to manage our emotions and have wise + loving responses will define us. We will all collectively rise up from this. Adversity truly unites us all and when we overcome adversity, it should be celebrated. I am a peacemaker with a PACEmaker.”

Notably, Shree Saini was selected as Top 6 “Beauty with a Purpose” service project and Top 30 @missworld official semi-finals.

Her mother Ekta Saini  said they have planned to leave for Seattle on Sunday.
