BOLLYWOOD STAR DESIGNER AND STYLIST ASHLEY REBELLO INTERACTS WITH INIFD STUDENTS

Salman Khan Stylist & Designer Ashley Rebello was at INIFD Chandigarh in Sector 8here today for an exclusive interaction with the Design students.

Ashley is Salman Khan’s exclusive stylist for upcoming blockbusters sequels BajrangiBhaijan 2, Dabangg 4, Tiger Zindahai 3 with Katrina Kaif and the upcoming Movie Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with Pooja Hegde. He is currently designing for the ongoing most watched ‘Bigg Boss 15’ for the Bhaijaan.

INIFD Chief Mentor Ashley Rebello elaborated on the fine intricacies of his designs created for his various projects. The interaction also created awareness about the voguish forecast trends in fashion. He also shared the art of Fashion Design and the versatility involved in upcoming fashion trends. These creative inputs will certainly give a direction to INIFD students in their Design portfolio.

Ashley designed Costumes for Indian & International films with Bollywood hits like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, BajrangiBhaijaan’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Kick’, ‘Bharat’, ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, Dabangg, the most watched reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ and over a 100 advertising commercials to his credit. Almost 3 decades in Design career, he has done innumerable fashion shows, designed for over 20 Television shows & an incalculable list of Celebrities to his credit. Salman Khan’s sister Alvira& Ashley owns a Designer store 'Ahakzai' in Mumbai. Ashley is one of the first Indian designers to design for Oscar-winning directors and many Hollywood stars.

   

Impressed with the immense talent of the design students at INIFD Chandigarh he said, “Sharing the Global fashion trends of today with the INIFD students will surely help them in preparing for their ongoing preparations for designing the collections for ‘desi n videshi shows’ like FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week in India and for the international New York Fashion Week.

It is a matter of pride not only for INIFD but for the whole Country that the young aspiring designers have established a mark globally”.He said that the role of the youth is huge, because now we have the Internet, and tons of them just follow what international or local artists wear. They don’t go and shop in the stores. Online shopping has become a really huge phenomenon.

Ashley believes that Bollywood denotes fashion in India.He has designed for the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai, stunning Katrina Kaif, the lovely Jaqueline Fernandes, Disha Patani, Sonakshi Sinha, the elegant Tabu among several others. He has designed for Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Shahid Kapur, Imran Khan and the likes. From ramp shows to divas of the Hindi film Industry from stunning brides to hot models in photo shoot, Ashley has dressed them all.

It was a great learning experience for the young budding designers, which provided them with direct hands on experience of being a star designer.
