BRAHMA KUMARIS FOUNDER’S DEATH ANNIVERSARY OBSERVED AS WORLD PEACE DAY

The death anniversary of Lekhraj Khubchand Kriplani (December 15, 1876 – January 18, 1969), also known as Dada Lekhraj, founder of the Brahma Kumaris, was on Thursday observed as World Peace Day here.

Municipal District Congress president Vimal Thatai was joined by Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, BK center incharge Pushplata, BK Darshana, BK Sunita, BK Shalu, Ramesh Sharma Advocate, Dr Sanjay Gupta, Dr Ritu Gupta, Dr Kanchan Khurana, Dr Deepali, Shyam Sunder Sachdeva, Shakuntala Soni and other citizens in offering floral tributes to the founder of the World Spiritual University. “To him, brotherhood meant understanding that a cry of pain means the same in all languages and so does a smile”, Thatai said.

Raj Sadosh said that after the passing of Brahma Baba many wondered how the Brahma Kumaris could continue now that their founder had passed. It was a difficult time for the senior sisters, as they had grown up with Baba, and never imagined him not being there. Dadi Prakashmani and Didi Manmohini guided the organisation through the passing of Baba and then continued as caretakers of the organisation.

Sunita Behan highlighted how the organisation was founded in Hyderabad Sindh and shifted headquarters to Mt Abu after the partition of India. One-hour meditation session was followed by mass prayer for peace in the world.
