FREEDOM FIGHTER HEMU KALANI REMEMBERED

Abohar: Hemu Kalani, who at the age of 19, was martyred by British was remembered on his 79th Balidan Diwas by organizing a wreath ceremony at the Hemu Kalani Park and Jhulelal Temple under the joint aegis of the Indian Sindhu Sabha, Pujya Sindhi Panchayat and Bhanushali Samaj in Padampur.

On the occasion, divisional in-charge of Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha, Ghanshyam Harwani said that the martyrs do not belong to any particular caste, they are called the heritage of the nation. Feeling proud of the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs, every Indian should participate in various programs organized in their holy memories.

President Lalchand Badlani, Tulsi Hanjwani, Jetha Ram Gangwani, Lalu Mastana, Rajkumar Gajra, Satish Thakur, Harish Badlani, Deepak Dabra, Bhagwan Gajra, Puran Chand Soni, Anjana Painter, Harish Thakur, Narayan Parwani, Harish Dama, Narayan Soni, Bhagwan Dass Gajra , Mahesh Hanjwani and Jetharam Mithia while paying homage to the martyr Hemu Kalani, lighting the lamp on the picture of Jhulelal, said that the martyr Hemu considered the nation paramount in his childhood and carried forward the tradition of Shaheed Bhagat Singh against the British. By taking revolutionary steps, he had created panic in British rule by presenting an example of bravery.

Youths took out a bike rally from Jhulelal temple to Shaheed Hemu Kalani Park and paid tributes to Bharat Mata and Sindh martyr Kalani.
