HARYANA ALWAYS HAD, HAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE A RIGHT ON CHANDIGARH : CHIEF MINISTER

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana had, has and will continue to have a right on Chandigarh. He elaborated that the Government stands firmly on this issue and the people of the state are also with them.

He added that its only been sometime since the Aam Aadmi Party has formed its Government in Punjab and it has already started raising such a controversial issue, which is incorrect. The Chief Minister was speaking to mediapersons after laying the foundation stone of various projects under Smart City in Karnal on Sunday.

Speaking on the prices of petrol and diesel, the Chief Minister said that their prices depend on the international market. With the rise of crude oil prices, the price of petrol and diesel increase all over the world. This situation is prevalent across the world. While responding to another query regarding 134-A, he said that now poor children will get more opportunities.

Responding to a query related to corruption, the Chief Minister said that the government is against corruption and the government will take strict action wherever corruption charges are corroborated. He said that during the tenure of present government, several services have been digitised in order to curtail corruption. It has been possible to send the perpetrators of corruption behind bars due to digitisation. These kinds of proactive measures and steps were never adopted by previous governments.

Responding to the question related to the procurement of crops, the Chief Minister said that the arrival of crops is not much in the mandis, however, the government is fully prepared for the procurement of crops. He said that all arrangements are being monitored.

Earlier only 10 percent poor children used to get the benefit of 134-A while as per the new system up to 25 percent poor children would get opportunity to study. Today, children from private schools in Haryana are taking admission in government's Model Sanskriti Schools. He added that no child will quit education due to financial implications.
