Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Anti corruption cell on Wednesday arrested Shamsher Singh, a senior assistant of Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB), for taking bribe of Rs 10,000.
CBI acted upon a complaint, as the accused had been hanging the file of house transfer in Manimajra Modern Housing Complex for a long time.
CBI said, the accused had demanded bribe to accommodate the complainant.
CBI laid the trap and nabbed him.
CBI Team took him to CBI HQ and investigating. The raids at his residence was also conducted.
