THREE  BASED AT DELHI & NCR NABBED. COUNTERFEIT 926 NOTES OF RS.500 DENOMINATION AMOUNTING TO 463000/- LAKHS RECOVERED., COUNTERFEIT 503 UNCUT PRINTED FICN SHEET (CONTAINING  PRINT OF 15 /5 FICN ON EACH SHEET) TOTAL WORTH FICN OF 30,12,500/- LAKHS RECOVERED. ➢ RECOVERED 08 DYE ALUMINUM PLATES CONTAINING PROOF OF FICN ON FRONT & BACK (01 DYE PRINT 15 NOTES PER PAGE), RAW MATERIALS USED IN FAKE CURRENCY MANUFACTURING (04 BOX INK USED IN PRINTING FICN), 03 CPU, 01 SCANNER.  A FACTORY AT TRONICA CITY INDUSTRIAL AREA, LONI, GHAZIABAD, U.P., UNEARTHED.

With the arrest of three accused persons namely (1) Rajpal S/o Late Shri Prem Chand R/o. B-35 Gali No 7, Arjun Mohalla, Maujpur Delhi, (2) Azeem S/o Jamshed Ahmed R/o 12A/32C, Gali No. 01, Jamalu Ka Bada, Near Crescent School, Maujpur, Delhi, (3) Ashish Jain S/o Deepak Jain R/o A-522/1, Gali No.1, Kartar Nagar, 4th Pushta, UsmanPur, Delhi, Team of ER-I, Crime Branch has succeeded in unearthing a racket of making/supply of counterfeit Indian Currency notes. At the instance of the accused persons, recovery of counterfeit currency notes of denomination of 500 value of ₹34,75,500 Lakh, 08 Dyes used for making notes, one printing machine, 03 CPU, 01 Scanner, 04 boxes of Ink used in Printing of FICN.

In this regard, a case was registered vide FIR No 80/22 u/s 489A/489B/489C/489D/34/120-B, IPC dated 19.05.2022 PS Crime Branch, Delhi. 

Secret inputs were received about a syndicate of Counterfeit currency racketeers operating clandestinely and circulating Counterfeit Currency Notes in Delhi and NCR. Accordingly, a well-planned strategy was chalked out to bust this racket.

On  19/05/2022, secret information was received by ASI Ajay & HC Yashvir that one person namely Ashish Jain s/o Deepak Jain would come Near 1st Pushta, New Usmanpur, Delhi to supply Counterfeit Currency. Immediately, a team of officers of ER-I, Crime Branch led by Insp. Rajeev Kakkar, consisting of ASI Ajay, ASI Rishi, HC Vinay Tyagi No.822/Crime, HC Yashvir 733/Crime, HC Rajender 923/Crime, Ct. Ankur 1548/Crime, Ct Naveen 1531/Crime & Ct Parmveer 1422/Crime, under the supervision of ACP Sh. Rohitash Kumar, was constituted.

Acting on the information, the police party immediately swung into action and apprehended one person namely Ashish Jain s/o Deepak from the place of information. On his cursory search, FICN worth ₹ 1,50,000/- Lakh (₹ 1,35,000/- from his pant pocket & ₹ 15,000/- thousand which he had given to decoy customer) recovered from his possession.

Mr.Amit Goel, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police:, CRIME-IV , said, during police custody/remand of accused, factories/offices operating at D-28, Sector A5/6, Industrial Area, Tronica City, Loni, U.P & A-5 Tronica City Loni, U.P were identified and an offset printing Machine used for printing of FICN Currency Notes has been seized.

On the instance of accused Ashish Jain S/o Deepak Jain his associate Rajpal @ Raju has also been apprehended near Pushta No.3, New Usman Pur and on his instance FICN of ₹ 3,13,000 Lakh, 50 Uncut printed FICN sheet (30 sheet from office & 20 sheets from i10 Car, containing print of 15 FICN on each sheet) Total worth FICN of ₹ 3,75,000 Lakh, 01 Scanner, 03 CPU used in developing/processing the FICN recovered from his office located at Tronica City, Ghaziabad, U.P.

On sustained interrogation, he further disclosed that he is doing the job/work of printing proof on metal sheets. He has prepared the printing proof of FICN via Software available in the recovered CPUs, which he further got printed from his associate Azeem Ahmed, who has offset printing machine in his factory located in front of his office at Tronica City, Ghaziabad.

On the instance of accused Rajpal @ Raju, his associate Azeem Ahmed S/o Jamshed Ahmed apprehended from his factory cum office located at Tronica City, Ghaziabad U.P. On the instance of Azeem Ahmed 301 printed sheet uncut FICN (containing 15 notes on each sheet) total worth of ₹ 22,57,500/- Lakh, 152 printed sheet uncut FICN (containing 05 notes on each) total worth of ₹ 3,80,000/- Lakh recovered from his factory/office, 08 Printing Proof plates/metal sheet containing
printing proof of FICN ₹ 500 denomination front and back side also recovered.

Apart from that 04 boxes of Ink used in Printing of FICN also recovered. All the 03 accused persons were indulged in printing/processing/ selling of FICN and running a racket of supply of FICN in the small town’s areas through their associate.

MODUS OPERANDI: Accused persons were using Dye and Offset Printing machine to print Counterfeit currency Notes by using specialized Ink and tools. After print the fake notes, the above accused used to give 3 fake notes in lieu of 1 real note to target costumers. 

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Accused Ashish Jain belongs to a middle class family and studied upto 10th standard. He is doing his ancestral work of making sweet boxes near his home. But from this profession he cannot fulfil his desires which are earning money in short term and live luxurious life. For achieving his dreams he contacted Rajpal @ Raju, who is known to him. Thereafter, he contacted Azeem S/o Jamshed Ahmad to print counterfeit currency notes. Ashish Jain used to find
customers to supply counterfeit notes

Accused Rajpal @ Raju s/o Prem Chand belongs to middle class family and he does works of making Dye for Printing. He studied upto 10th class. Rajpal has installed Computerized Printing CTP E-76 in his factory in Sector A-5 Tronica City Loni. Later he came in contact of Azeem S/o Jamshed Ahmed, who had printing press at Tronica City. Rajpal@Raju used to make Dye of for printing of Counterfeit currency notes.

Accused Azeem S/o Jamshed belongs to middle class family and he does works of printing. He studied upto 8th class. Ajeem has installed offset printing machine in his factory in Tronica City, Loni. Later he came in contact of Rajpal@Raju s/o Prem Chand, who used to make Dye for Printing at Tronica City, with the connivance of Rajpal@Raju & Ashish Jain, Azeem S/o Jamshed printed counterfeit currency notes at his printing press at Tronica City, Loni. 

Investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to trace the remaining sources and its local receivers, who are involved in circulation of Counterfeit Currency in Delhi, NCR.
