WIFE HIRED A HABITUAL CRIMINAL ALONG WITH LOVER TO BUMP OFF HUSBAND, ONE COUNTRY MADE PISTOL (DESI KATTA) ALONGWITH 2 LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED, ONE STOLEN MOTORCYCLE USED IN CRIME RECOVERED, SUPARI MONEY CASH RS. 3 LAKHS RECOVERED.

With the arrest of 3 accused persons namely (1) Zeeba Qureshi w/o Moinuddin (deceased), r/o Daryaganj, Age 40 Yrs. (2) Shoaib s/o Yamin r/o Meerut, UP, age 29 Yrs. (3) Vinit Goswami s/o- Sunder Goswami r/o Ghaziabad, UP, age-29 years, team of Special Staff/Central District, has solved a sensational blind murder case. 

On 17.05.2022 at about 10 pm, a sensational firing incident took place in front of gate No. 3 Khalsa School at Kalidas Road which is a densely populated area of Daryaganj, Delhi. Complainant Rukmuddin Qureshi, Age 47 Yrs stated that his elder brother Moinuddin Qureshi was present at workshop, at about 10 pm, when he came out for urinating near gate No. 3 Khalsa School, suddenly the complainant heard firing sound and saw that blood was oozing out from the body of his brother Moinuddin.

His brother told him that someone had fired upon him. The complainant took him to LNJP Hospital where his brother Moinuddin succumbed to gunshot injury. In this regard, a case vie FIR No. 191/22 dated 18.05.2022 u/s- 302 IPC & 27 Arms Act was registered at PS Daryaganj.

Ms. Shweta Chauhan, IPS, DCP, Central Distt. said, accused Zeeba Qureshi lured and instigated accused Shoaib to kill her husband and to marry her. After that accused Shoaib searched for a supari/contract killer and he came in contact with accused Vinit Goswami and he consented to kill Moinuddin Qureshi in liu of Rs. 6 lacs.On a number of occasions, accused Vinit Goswami and Shoaib did recce at the instance of accused Zeeba Qureshi. Many times, accused Vinit tried to commit murder of Moinuddin Qureshi as per the information shared with him by accused Sohaib through Zeba Qureshi but they did not get any proper opportunity, Daryaganj being a crowded place. Hence, accused Vinit Goswami sought from accused Sohaib some other aide to commit the murder but he could not arrange.

Keeping in view the gravity of offence of murder by gunshot firing that too in a overcrowded place and there appeared to be an involvement of some hardcore professional criminals, a joint team of police personnel from PS Daryganj, PS Anand Parvat, AATS and Special Staff/Central District comprising Insp. Rajkumar, Insp. Investigation/PS Daryaganj, Insp. Mukesh Antil, SHO/ Anand Parvat, SI Sandeep Godara, I/C AATS and Insp. Shailendra Kumar Sharma, I/C Special Staff/Central District alongwith their other suborodinate staff having good technical as well as local intelligence knowledge was constituted under the supervision of ACP/ Operation Sh. Yogesh Malhotra and overall supervision of DCP/Central District.

During the course of investigation, CCTV footages, CDRs/ Dump data were procured and local enquiry was conducted. Details of similar cases of Gunshot murders/firing incidents occurred in Delhi were obtained. On analysis of the CCTV Footage & technical surveillance, it was ascertained that the shooters involved may have belonged to the state of UP as the white colour Apache motorcycle used in commission of murder was found abandoned near Tara Hotel, Daryaganj and on verification it was found stolen from Meerut, UP vide FIR No. 693/21 dated 20.12.21 PS Medical College, Meerut. All possible efforts were made to apprehend the accused persons and various secret informers were deployed.

On the basis of technical surveillance, scrutiny of more than 500 CCTV Footages, examination of more than 100 public persons and local human intelligence, Special Staff/Central District got information about the accused persons involved in said offence. On receiving the reliable information regarding the accused persons, the team conducted a number of raids and finally succeeded in apprehending all the 03 accused persons involved in murder including the wife of the deceased.

MODUS OPERANDI: Accused Zeeba Qureshi is the wife of deceased Moinuddin Quereshi. She got married with him about 25 years ago when she was in her teenage. She is a housewife and has 2 sons and 1 daughter and all of them are major. Her husband deceased Moinuddin Quereshi was indulged in property dealing business and he was fond of kiteflying and drinking.

Accused Zeeba Qureshi was not happy with her husband and she wanted to get rid of him and to solemnize “Nikah” with some other person. About 2 years ago, she came in contact with accused Shoaib through Facebook and after that both of them started personal meetings with each other.

After that accused Shoaib searched for a supari/contract killer and he came in contact with accused Vinit Goswami and he consented to kill Moinuddin Qureshi in liu of Rs. 6 lacs.

On a number of occasions, accused Vinit Goswami and Shoaib did recce at the instance of accused Zeeba Qureshi. Many times, accused Vinit tried to commit murder of Moinuddin Qureshi as per the information shared with him by accused Sohaib through Zeba Qureshi but they did not get any proper opportunity, Daryaganj being a crowded place. Hence, accused Vinit Goswami sought from accused Sohaib some other aide to commit the murder but he could not arrange.

On the other side, Zeeba Qureshi was pressing hard upon accused Sohaib to murder her husband and to solemnize “Nikah” with her at the earliest as she wanted to get rid of her husband at the earliest.

Finally, accused Sohaib agreed to be aide of accused Vinit and he arranged a stolen motorcycle from Meerut and asked accused Vinit Goswami to come on 17.05.2022 along with a firearm to Delhi for the commission of the crime. On the same day at about 10 pm, when Moinuddin Qureshi was urinating near near gate No. 3 Khalsa School, accused Vinit Goswami shot him at a very close range and both of them ran away from the spot on said stolen white colour Apache motorcycle having fake number plate.

KNOW THE  ACCUSED:  Zeeba Qureshi w/o Moinuddin (deceased), r/o Daryaganj, Delhi-110006, age 40 Yrs. has studied upto 8th class and she is a housewife. She got married to deceased Moinuddin Qureshi about 25 years ago when she was a teenager. She has 2 sons and 1 daughter, All are major.

Shoaib s/o Yamin r/o Meerut, UP, age 29 Yrs. has studied upto 12th class. He got married about 4 years ago. He has 1 son of minor age. He is engaged in the business of health supplements.

Vinit Goswami s/o- Sunder Goswami r/o Ghaziabad, UP, age-29 years, has studied upto 9th class and got married one year ago. He is unemployed and a habitual criminal and has previously been involved in the following 3 criminal cases:-

FIR No. 578/12 u/s- 414/411 IPC PS Brahampuri, Meerut, UP.,  FIR No. 1463/13 u/s- 307 IPC PS Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, UP. FIR No. 1766/13 u/s- 25 Arms Act PS Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, UP

RECOVERY:  One stolen motorcycle used in commission of crime, One country made pistol (Desi Katta) and cash of supari money Rs. 3 lakhs.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
