• GANG SOLD A LARGE NUMBER OF HIGH-END STOLEN CARS IN MEERUT (UP), RAJASTHAN AND OTHER STATES OF INDIA.• THREE MEMBERS OF THE GANG HAIL FROM DELHI AND MEERUT ARRESTED, CARRIES ILLEGAL FIREARMS, WHILE COMMITTING THEFT OR TRANSPORTING THE STOLEN CARS.• 07 HIGH END LUXURIOUS CARS (03 CRETA, 02 BREEZA, 01 HYUNDAI VENUE AND 01 SWIFT) WITH HACKING AND LOCK BREAKING DEVICES AND REMOTE KEYS OF VARIOUS MODELS OF THE CARS RECOVERED. • TWO ILLEGAL FIREARMS WITH AMMUNITION HAVE ALSO RECOVERED FROM THE ACCUSED.• ACCUSED PERSONS USED HIGH TECH SCANNER TO STEAL THE LUXURY CARS WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES AND ALSO USED JAMMER TO STOP THE SIGNAL OF GPS SYSTEM IF ANY INSTALLED WITH THE CAR. 

A team of AATS, South West District has busted an Inter-State Gang (Ravi Uttam Nagar Gang) of Auto-Lifters with different modus operandi and arrested 03 accused persons namely (1) Manish Rao @ Monu R/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Age-42 Yrs, Jagdeep Sharma @ Vishal Sharma R/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Age-43 Yrs and (3) Aas Mohammad @ Bakra R/o Meerut, UP, Age-40 Yrs.

With their arrest, 07 High-End luxurious cars (03 Creta, 02 Breeza, 01 Hyundai Venue and 01 Swift) with Hacking and lock breaking Devices and remote keys of various models of the cars, two illegal country made pistols with cartridges have been recovered.

Taking in view the gravity of the recent cases of theft of luxurious cars, a dedicated team of AATS/SWD comprising SI Sanjeev Baliyan, SI Suresh Kumar, SI Gautam Malik, ASI Hemant Sharma, ASI Praveen Kumar, HC Hariom, HC Ajay Gulia, CT Mohit, CT Ravinder, Ct Rakesh, CT Raghmendra and Ct Dharmender under the leadership of Insp. Anand Kumar I/C AATS and overall supervision of Sh. Surender Yadav, ACP/OPS was constituted & tasked to apprehend the accused persons involved in this crime.

Mr. Manoj  C.,  IPC, DCP, said, the team worked relentlessly and gathered all information about the accused persons involved in this type of crime and developed local intelligence. With the help of technical surveillance and local information the team succeeded to apprehend Manish Rao @ Monu and Jagdeep Sharma @ Vishal Sharma, Both R/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi while they came for dealing of stolen Creta Car. From their possession, 01 illicit pistol (.32 bore) with three cartridges and 01 country made pistol with 02 live cartridges have been recovered. The Hyundai Creta Car with fake number plate was found stolen from PS- Paschim Vihar, Delhi.

Accordingly, a case U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 411/482/34 IPC was registered at PS Palam Village, New Delhi and accused persons have been arrested in this case. Further from the search of recovered car, various instruments including Sensor Kit, magnet, LNT Keys and 08 remote keys of cars and a lot of other keys of various cars have also been recovered. Further, another accused person Aas Mohammad @ Bakra has also arrested in this case with a stolen Creta car, who is the main supplier of the stolen cars who sell these stolen cars in Rajasthan to the buyers by using the number of total loss car of the same model and colour. Further raids were conducted and 05 more stolen High End cars have been recovered on their instances.

The accused persons Manish Rao @ Monu, Jagdeep Sharma @ Vishal Sharma and Aas Mohammad @ Bakra are the desperate auto lifters of infamous Ravi Uttam Nagar Gang and previously involved in more than 10 to 25 cases of auto lifting. They kept illicit firearms, while committing theft to save them from the hand of police and public as well. Above mentioned accused persons have separately disclosed that they along with their leader Ravi, have stolen more than 40 Cars i.e. Creta, Breeza and others, since April 2022 from Uttam Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Subash Nagar, Pashim Vihar, Munirka, Dwarka etc., to whom they have sold to the receivers at various place in Rajasthan, Meerut.

Further interrogation regarding receivers and for more recovery of vehicles efforts are being made. The accused persons have disclosed that by using the software based hacking device, they unlocked the car and after formatting the software of the car, install new software/coding with the help of device and so new keys become ready and they stole the luxurious cars within 3 to 5 minutes. After stealing the car, they parked the same at some Parking areas, outside societies, near Hospitals etc, especially where no CCTV camera is installed. Thereafter, as per demand for the total loss car, from the receivers, they transport the same to buyer/receiver. Mostly, they stole the car as per advance demand of the receivers. 

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Accused Manish Rao @ Monu, r/o Janta Flats, Pocket-1, Hastsal, Delhi age -43 yrs is illiterate and a professional thief of Ravi Uttam Nagar Gang. He has learnt to steal the cars from his relative Ravi by using various devices, who deals in disposing and stealing the High-End cars from Delhi-NCR. In need to earn quick money, he started working in this gang. He was first arrested in 2000. He came out from Jail in 05th April 2022 and again started working. He has 26 previous involvements of auto lifting.

Accused Jagdeep Sharma @ Vishal Sharma @ Bunty S R/o Janta Flats, Pocket-1, Hastsal, Delhi, age- 42 is illiterate and a professional thief of Ravi Uttam Nagar Gang. He has learnt to steal the cars from his friend Ravi by using various devices, who deals in disposing and stealing the High-End cars from Delhi-NCR. In need to earn quick money, he started working in this gang. He was first arrested in 2011. He came out from Jail in December 2017. Now, he along with Manish Rao and Ravi again started working. He has 11 previous involvements of auto lifting.

Accused Aas Mohammad @ Pappu @ Bakra R/o Poorva Ahmad Nagar, Jali Kothi, Meerut, age 40 Yrs hails from Meerut and is illiterate. He used to run a garage in Meerut where he came in touch with one Shakib @ Shakir of Meerut who used to run a racket of stolen cars from there. Now, the garage has been got shut by the local police at Sotiganj and he started to send the stolen cars to the receivers, in Rajasthan. He has sold a number of cars to them in last one Year. He has 05 previous involvements.

RECOVERY:  One illicit pistol of 0.32 bore with 03 live cartridges. One illicit pistol of 0.312 bore with 02 live cartridges. Tool kits, Hacking Device and 30 Keys of cars and other breaking  and opening tools.One stolen Creta Car with fake number plate,  Two stolen Creta Cars,  Two stolen Breeza Car, One stolen Hyundai Venue Car,  One stolen Swift Car
