A special drive against illegal arms supplier has been launched by Crime Branch of Delhi Police. In order to make the drive successful and effective, staff of the AGS (Anti Gangs Squad) of the Crime Branch has been especially briefed to collect intelligence and take appropriate legal action against the arms suppliers of gangsters.

An in-house study into the growing use of illegal firearms over last few years revealed that in most of the cases, illegal weapons used in commission of various crimes in Delhi, were manufactured and supplied from Mewat, Mathura and Madhya Pradesh to the criminals active in Delhi and NCR. Accordingly, sources were deployed in Delhi, NCR, UP West and Madhya Pradesh. After sustained perseverance, as a result of this drive, on 15.06.2022, the sleuths of Anti Gang Squad have succeeded in busting an interstate illegal firearms syndicate and have recovered a huge cache’ of firearms and ammunitions.

The arrested accused identified as Nitin @ Kalu@ Bagri R/o Hastsal village Uttam Nagar New Delhi, age 34 years,  Mustak @ Sahil R/o Shiv Vihar Vikas Nagar Ranhola Delhi 

On Secret information received by ASI Mukesh & HC Dharam Raj regarding movements and activities of arms supplier Nitin @ Bagadi @ Kalu and his associate Mustaq having illegal arms and being used by Gangster to commit crime in Delhi & NCR. The information contains that Nitin and Mustaq are Arms facilitator of shooters of Deepak Boxer Gang. Therefore, a special team under overall supervision of ACP Sh Ramesh Lamba in the leadership of Insp Krishan Kumar consisting of SI Ajay Kumar, SI Mahavir, ASI BrajLal, ASI Kirori Mal, ASI Mukesh, ASI Agam Parsad, HC Dharamraj, HC Vinod, HC Manoj, HC Mintu and Ct Shyam Sunder laid a trap near Chath Park Ganda Nala Vikash Nagar, Delhi.

At about 1.15 PM, one suspect riding on a Motorcycle, without number plate carrying Pittu bag was identified by informer as Nitin @ Kalu @ Bagri who was intercepted by the raiding team, seeing the police team accused tried to escape from spot but was overpowered and apprehended by the alert team members.

Mr. Amit Goel, IPS, DCP, Crime, said,  interrogation, the name and address of accused was revealed as Nitin @ Bagadi @ Kalu R/o VPO Hastsal, Delhi, Age- 34 years. On cursory search of Nitin @ Bagadi @ Kalu, one country made pistol of 12 bore along with two live cartridges of same bore were recovered from his. On search of his pithu bag two Country made pistols of .315 bore and four live cartridges of same caliber were recovered. A case vide FIR No 104/22 u/s 25 Arms Act Dated 15.06.22, PS Crime Branch was registered.

During interrogation of accused Nitin @ Bagri, it was revealed that recovered illegal Arms were procured from one Mustaq and were being used or further delivered to gang members on direction of associates of Deepak Boxer who are running in judicial custody in Haryana jails. Accused further disclosed that these recovered illegal Arms were provided by one Mustaq for committing the crime on direction of associates of Boxer gang.

During investigation, efforts were made to arrest the arms suppliers, and on instance of accused Nitin @ Kalu @ Bagri, source of illegal weapon namely Mustaq @ Sahil Age 27 years was apprehended near Park C Block Vikas Puri Delhi at about 10 PM. On cursory search of accused one sophisticated Pistol of 7.65 mm along with magazine and 2 live Cartridges and one country made pistol of .315 bore along with two live Cartridges were recovered from him.

KNOW THE ACCUSED

Nitin R/o Hasthal Village Uttam Nagar, New Delhi age 34 years disclosed that he and his wife reside at the given address. He had passed 6th Class in the year 2002. He has two daughters. His father has expired. Around 4 yr back he met a woman who is already married and have 2 kids and used to live in rented in Mohan garden. After that they starting meeting each other and secretly and their friendship turned into a relationship.

After that he went into bad company and started playing gambling to earn money and went to jail in 2011 where he met several criminals and later on became friends with them and his mind was diverted into criminal activities. Then he came in to the contact of one Mustak and involved in dealing with the illegal fire arms. Further he started selling the fire arms procured from Mustaq. He can help police in tracing other co-accused persons who involved in the crime from the area of Haryana

Mustak @ Sahil @ Taslim R/o Shiv Vihar, Vikas Nagar Ranhola, Delhi disclosed that he and his family reside at the given address since birth. He had passed 10th Class in the year 1999 and he is unmarried. Then he came in contact with Rakesh and fell in bad company and as a result his mind was diverted into criminal activities.

He went to jail many times where he met several criminals and later on became friends with them. Then he came in contact of criminal’s gang and fell in bad company and as a result his mind was diverted into criminal activities. He started procuring illegal arms from arms peddlers of Mewat Haryana and started to sell them to local criminals of West and outer district of Delhi.

Further he told that Haryana police arrested three shooters of Deepak boxer Gang , namely Nasruddin @ Nasur, Manish @ Sunny and Mohit @ Atul @ Mota and they are in Sonipat jail. One of his contacts is in touch of those shooters and they have sent illegal arms consignment through One Gurucharan of Mewat to him for further delivery to the gang members.

The accused are on police custody remand and further investigation is on progress.
