BISHKEY (KYRGYZSTAN): India women gave an excellent display by capturing eight gold, one silver and one bronze medals in the ongoing U17 and U23 Asian Wrestling Championships here. Muskan (4o kg), Ritika (43 kg) Shruti (46 kg), Ahilya Shatrughan Shinde (49 kg), Reena (53 kg) Savita (61 kg), Priya (73 kg) and Shiksha (57 kg) put up brilliant display to grab the top spots for gold medals in their respective categories.

Pulkit claimed the silver medal in the 65 kg section as she was beaten by Gulnura Tashtanbekova (KGZ) by VFA, 5 - 0 in the final.

Bhandana Mansi of India grabbed the bronze medal in the 69 kg class.

India established their supremacy in the women's under-17 category by winning the team trophy with an aggregate points tally of 235 points a haul of eight gold, one silver and one bronze medal. Japan finished runners-up with 143 points while Mongolia were third with 138 points.

Muskan registered victory by fall (VFA 4-0) against. Mona Ezaka of Japan in the 40 kg final. Shruti of India snatched a narrow VPOI 5-4 verdict against Nomin Chinzorig (MGL) in the 46 kg category final.

Ahilya Shatrughan Shinde had a smooth sailing against Natsumi Masuda of Japan as the Indian woman wrestler clinched gold with a VSU, 10 - 0 verdict in the 49 kg final.

India continued their fine display as Reena pocketed gold in 53 kg class at the expense of Khaliun Byambasuren (MGL) by VPO1, 10 - 6 in 53 kg final

Shiksha will bring home the gold as she accounted for. Sayaka Ota (JPN) by VPO, 5 - 0 in 57 kg class final.

Savita got gold in 61kg after beating. Ulmeken Esenbaeva of Uzbekistan by VFA, 8 - 4 in 61 kg fina.

Priya won by fall against Alina Yertostik (KAZ) by VFA, 4 - 0 in the 73 kg category final.
