BSF FOILS BID TO SMUGGLE CONTRABAND IN AMRITSAR SECTOR, 15 CRORES HEROIN RECOVERED

While farmer was cultivating his land with tractor ahead of border security fence, Border Security Force  (BSF) troops of Amritsar sector recovered three packets of contraband item suspected to be Heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape along with 01 pistol, 01 magazine and 05 rounds (.30 bore) near IB in the farming fields in the area falling near village Bharopal under Amritsar district. The gross weight of recovered 03 packets of contraband is appx - 3.020 Kgs on Friday morning.

The heroin valued worth Rs. 15 Crores in international market.

Vigilant BSF troops are regularly carrying out area domination in their area, to foil the nefarious attempts of anti - national elements to smuggle contraband.

BSFspokesman from Punjab Frontier HQ, said, BSf is committed in fight against drugs.
