Rtn Vinod Kapoor, one of the leading retailers of Tanishq Jewellery and Titan Watches stores in Tricity, is the new President of Rotary Club Chandigarh for 2022-23.
Other office bearers of the Club are Vice President Sartaj Lamba, Secretary Teena Virk, Shuchita Luthra as Joint Secretary, and Jatinder Kapur as Sergeant at arms
The board members include Dr Meenu Singh, Dr Aman Bhatia, Abhishek Verma, Kulbir Dogra, Parveen Aggarwal, Geetika Rao, Abha Sharma and Reema Dewan.
Past Rotary International President Rajendra K Saboo, Past District Governors Madhukar Malhotra and Praveen Goyal, Past President Jaspal Singh Sidhu and incoming President for 2023-24 Anil Chadha shall also be a part of the new Board.In the 117 years history of Rotary, it is the first time a woman takes over the leadership of Rotary International, Rtn Jennifer Jones from Canada, who has given the theme “Imagine Rotary” to the Rotary world.
Rotary Club Chandigarh was chartered by Rotary International on 10 May 1958, and is currently city’s prestigious club in the world having given to the world its second Indian to be the Rotary International President in 1991-92 in Rtn Rajendra K. Saboo.
