I can reach the Chief Minister's drawing-room, I can get any work done by the CM whenever I want, the Chief Minister and all his OSDs can not ignore me, you can not harm me. Whatever I want, the Chief Minister will do that.

These threats were given to every applicant by Dhanesh Adalkha, an accused in the corruption case of the Haryana State Pharmacy Council. This was stated by Rajesh Kaushik, a resident of Jhajjar, who busted the corruption racket in Haryana State Pharmacy Council during a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club on Saturday.

Rajesh Kaushik said that corruption was going on in the Haryana State Pharmacy Council for several years. Still, it all increased after the Chief Minister appointed Dhanesh Adalkha as the head of the Haryana State Pharmacy Council in March 2019. Money was being demanded from every applicant who completed the 12th or pharmacy course from some other state. Even the bribe money was so much that a common pharmacist could not pay it.

It used to be between Rs 70,000 to Rs 2,00,000 for one registration. Dhanesh Adlakha, along with Sohan Lal, made it a business and earned crores of rupees by sending hundreds of licenses to the office of the Haryana State Pharmacy Council as a shop. No one's license was made without taking money. Whoever used to get a minister or some big politician to call them, their license was made, otherwise, money had to be paid to get the job done.

Their greed had increased so much that even the members of the Pharmacy Council were not spared. Due to this, Rajesh Kaushik and Satyavan had to give a complaint to the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau, after which on July 2, 2022, the Vigilance Bureau arrested Deputy President Sohan Lal Kansal and agent Subhash Arora, but due to the pressure from the Chief Minister, the Vigilance did not arrest the Chairman Dhanesh Adalkha and registrar Rajkumar Verma. Even members of the council have given similar complaints to the Chief Minister, Health Minister, and Deputy Chief Minister.

Satyavan said that Dhanesh Adalkha committed a lot of corruption in the Pharmacy Council, which is known to everyone, but because of his direct relationship with the CM, no one ever laid hands on him.

Pawan Kumar said that he was fed up with his license. Dhanesh Adalkha insulted him and misbehaved in front of council members and staff. “I had also put an audio of mine on social media, in which I was ready to commit suicide, but in the meantime, the police came to my house and stopped me from committing suicide and gave notice to Dhanesh Adalkha,” he added.

Krishan Chandra Goel, former head of Haryana State Pharmacy Council, said that after March 2019, the Pharmacy Council has become like a private shop. In the council, Dhanesh Adalkha, Sohanlal Kansal, Arun Parashar, and Rajkumar Verma together took bribes from hundreds of children. I continued to raise the matter, but every time he would be saved by the Chief Minister's Office.
