⮚ PRAVEEN YADAV WAS CARRYING A REWARD OF RS 50 THOUSANDS IN A CASE OF SHOOTOUT-CUM-MURDER OF A LAW STUDENT IN ROHINI AREA AT K N KATJU MARG IN YEAR 2021.⮚ ONE PISTOL OF .32 BORE WITH 04 LIVE CARTRIDGES AND A ROBBED BALENO CAR RECOVERED.⮚ ACCUSED WAS WANTED/ABSCONDING IN 7 CRIMINAL CASES INCLUDING OF MURDER, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, CAR JACKING, EXTORTION, ASSAULT, ARMS ACT ETC IN DELHI.

A team of Special Cell, Southern Range led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar & Inspr. Karamvir Singh supervised by ACP Attar Singh has arrested a desperate and an absconding gangster namely Parveen Yadav @ Model (age 48 years) s/o Jagpal Singh r/o Village Samaipur Badli, Delhi after an exchange of fire. He has been nabbed in the morning hours of 14/08/2022 at Chaudhary Jagat Singh Road near Ghitorni Village, Delhi.

Arrested accused was having a reward of Rs. 50,000/- on any information leading to his arrest in case of shoot out leading to the killing of a Law student and seriously injuring his cousin in their car in the year 2021 in the area of K. N. Katju Marg in Rohini Delhi. Parveen Yadav was previously associated with the gangs of Rajesh Bawania, Neetu Dabodia, Ashok Pradhan etc. 

A team of Special Cell was working for last several days to trace and arrest the absconding gangster Parveen Yadav. But accused, being wanted in many heinous cases including above murder case kept on frequently changing his hideouts and locations in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi etc to escape his arrest.

This input was further developed by deputing the sources and mounting surveillance on the movements of said fugitive, his suspected hideouts and persons who were suspectedly providing him logistic support during that period. After sincere efforts of three months, Inspr. Shiv Kumar received a specific information on 14/08/2022 that Parveen Yadav would come in a Maruti Baleno car from Mehrauli side and he would go towards Ghitorni Village via Chaudhary Jagat Singh Road on 14/08/2022 between 8 AM to 9 AM to meet his associate there.

Mr. Jasmeet Singh, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Cell/SR & Narco Terror while giving detail said, the shootout-cum-murder case of KN Katju Marg are that on 9.04.2021, an 18 year old law student namely Arjun with his cousin were getting their car refueled at a CNG pump in the area. Both developed hot arguments with Parveen Yadav who was also at said CNG pump. Infuriated Parveen Yadav took out a pistol from his car, fired indiscriminately towards duo sitting in their car and fled away thereafter. Both persons Arjun and Yash sustained serious gunshot injuries. They were rushed to hospital where Arjun was declared dead.

A team led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar was formed and a trap was laid about 200 meters from MG Road on Jagat Singh road towards Ghitorni Village. Parveen Yadav driving a Baleno car was spotted coming from Mehrauli side at about 8:40 AM. He was signaled to stop by the members of police team after disclosing their identity but the accused tried to escape by reversing the car. Members of the team, in order to overpower him blocked his way and asked him to surrender but accused whipped out his pistol and fired a shot towards the police team. HC Mukesh, a member of the team also fired in self-defense to overpower him. After firing of two rounds, Parveen Yadav was finally overpowered by the team and he was disarmed.

A semi-automatic pistol of .32 with 4 live cartridges was recovered from him. One Baleno car recovered from the accused and two empty cartridges found at the spot were also seized in the case. A case FIR under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Special Cell in this regard.

BACKGROUND & CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES

Arrested accused is a BC of PS Samaipur Badli. He is previously involved in more than 20 criminal cases including of 2 of murder, 4 of attempt to murders, and others of robbery, extortion, assault, hurt, intimidation, trespass, theft, arms act etc. in Delhi during the last 27 years.

Presently, accused Parveen was wanted and absconding in 7 criminal cases including above murder in the area of PS K N Katju Marg, attempt to murders, assault/hurt, extortion and car jacking etc. at gun point in Delhi. Arrested accused Parveen Yadav was also convicted for 5 years RI on 18/05/2015 in a case of attempt to murder pertaining to the area of PS Prashant Vihar.

On 20.07.2021, Praveen Yadav reached at the house of one property dealer and demanded extortion money of Rs 8 lacs on gun point. Also threatened him to fulfill his demand of paying the extortion money. Accused has further disclosed that on 05.04.2022, he had robbed one Baleno car at gun point from the area of PS Rani Bagh, Delhi.

Thereafter, he went underground and could not be arrested in these cases He is not attending courts in 4 pending trial criminal cases and various courts have issued NBWs against him in those cases.

He was arrested for the first time in a case of attempt to murder in the area of Prashant Vihar in the year 1996. He was convicted for 5 years RI in that case. Thereafter, he kept on committing heinous crimes regularly. In the year 2015, he along with his three associates had fired upon Vipin and Ravinder in which Vipin died at spot and Ravinder got injured. In the year 2012, he fired upon the team of Crime Branch and succeeded to escape. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared on the arrest of Parveen in that case. He was subsequently arrested by the team of Special Cell in that case in the year 2014. Further investigation of the present case and interrogation of accused is in progress.
