EMPLOYEES OF MOBILE-BUSINESSMEN, KAROL BAGH INVOLVED IN THEFT OF RS 20.50 LAKHS ARRESTED BY PS KAROL BAGH, TWO ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED FROM SIRSA, HARYANA.., COMMITTED THEFT TO START BUSINESS IN CHINA. ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED BEFORE THEY COULD LIVE THE COUNTRY. Rs 18.85 LACS CASH, PASSPORT RECOVERED.

With the arrest of two accused persons namely (1) SARABJEET SINGH S/O SH. GURUCHARAN SINGH R/O PUNJAB (Age 27years) (2) AKASH S/O SH. GORI SINGH R/O PUNJAB (Age 22 years), the staff of PS Karol Bagh, Central Distt has worked out a case of THEFT BY SERVANTS INVOLVING RS 20.50 LACS and recovered Rs 18.85 Lakhs on their instance.
On 26.07.2022, Complainant Sh. Lavish Sidana reported in PS Karol Bagh and stated that he has been running a mobile/accessories business with the name of ‘R.R.TELECOM’, Karol Bagh, Delhi for last 08 years and he used to purchase accessories / mobile from China. His servant namely Sarabjeet Singh has been working with him since 2014. On 25.07.2022, complainant left his office and Sarabjeet Singh was looking after the office in his absence. When complainant came back after some time he found that Sarabjeet Singh is not in office and Rs 20.50 Lacs kept in the locker are also missing.
Subsequently, a case vide F7IR No. 568/2022, dated 26.7.2022, U/S 381 IPC was registered at PS Karol Bagh, Delhi and investigation was taken up
As the theft was committed in the office of a noted businessmen of Karol Bagh, Delhi and Karol Bagh Market Welfare Association (MWA) also desired to nab the criminal expediently. Keeping in view the sensitivity of case, a dedicated team comprising SI Vikram Singh, ASI Jitender Kumar, ASI Narender, Ct.Rajesh under the supervision of Insp Deepak Kumar Malik, SHO/Karol Bagh and overall supervision of Ms Vidushi Kaushik, ACP/KB was constituted to nab the criminals & to investigate the cases.
The dedicated team members of PS Karol Bagh started searching & tracing the accused person. As the suspected person had switched off his mobile phone, the team worked on ‘CCTV Footage, Call Detail Record (CDR) & Human Intelligence. The team searched and analysed around 150- CCTV Cameras of Karol Bagh Market and it was found that an another accused person is also involved in the said offence along with Sarabjeet Singh.
Call Detail Record (CDR) & IMEI Search of accused person was also procured and analysed. As per the CAF record, a raid was conducted by the team at his village in Punjab but he could not be found there. On local enquiry, it was found that accused has prepared his Passport and he has planned to fled to China. During further investigation, CDRs of family member & accused analyzed minutely and mobile number of co-accused was also procured.
Ms. Shaweta Chauhan, IPS, DCP, Central Distt., said, fresh Mobile locations of accused persons were obtained and a team compriaing ASI Jitender Kumar, ASI Narender, Ct. Rajesh was sent to Sirsa, Haryana and the said team in civil clothes laid the trap in the mid night at Sirsa, Haryana to apprehend the offender. Various local & human based intelligence was developed by the team. The hard work paid off and on 10.08.22, the team got success in apprehending the accused persons from Sirsa, Haryana before they could leave the country. On sustained interrogation both the accused persons disclosed to commit the offence and cash Rs 18.85 Lacs was recovered on their instance.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS :-
Both the accused persons namely (1) SARABJEET SINGH S/O SH.GURUCHARAN SINGH R/O PUNJAB (Age 27 years) (2) AKASH S/O SH.GORI SINGH R/O PUNJAB (Age 22 years) are the residents of same village of Punjab and childhood friends. The complainant also belongs to the same village and hence, he gave Sarabjeet the job in his shop.
The co-accused Akash is unemployed and needed money to start his business. Sarabjeet was working at noted Karol Bagh Market for long time therefore, he had gained knowledge of Chinese as well as Indian Mobile Market. Later, both of them planned to start their own China Based mobile supply business and subsequently committed theft of Rs 20.85 Lacs from the office of his owner.
RECOVERY :- Cash Rs 18.85 Lacs One Passport, SES WORKED OUT :-FIR No. 568/2022, dated 27.7.2022, U/S 381 IPC, PS Karol Bagh. Further, investigation of the case is underway.
