In major break through, the Chandigarh Police has succeed to arrest one Auto lifter namely Ajay Kumar S/o Sh.Badan Singh R/o 174, gali No. 7 Vill. Jhujhar Nagar Distt. Mohali PB age 33 years and recovered 11 two vehicles from his possession.

The facts of the case are that on a tip off and on the direction of SDPO/Central, a Police team headed by SI Surender Kumar under the close supervision of SHO/PS-17 laid a Naka in Sector-22 and during the checking of vehicles the above said accused have been apprehended alongwith Activa Honda No. CH01BM6477, and on verification the same was found stolen in Case FIR No. 459 dated 24.08.2022.

After verification the accused was arrested in the above said case on 29.08.2022.

During the course of further investigation accused namely Ajay Kumar has been produced in the court and obtained one day Police remand. During Police custody all together 11 two wheelers have been traced on his instance. Out of which, 6 two wheelers found to be stolen from the different part of Chandigarh and the remaining 5 were taken into Possession u/s 102 Cr.P.C which are being verified.  

The accused durg addict and used to steal two wheelers to fulfill durg habits and for joy riding. Today again the accused has been produced in court and further obtained two days Police custody remand. The interrogation of accused is going on and expected more recoveries.
