HIRED TELECALLERS FOR CALLING, CONDUCTING TELEPHONIC INTERVIEWS AND DEMANDING MONEY FROM UNEMPLOYED YOUTH IN NAME OF REGISTRATION FEES, UNIFORM CHARGES, ETC. ACCUSED COLLECTED DATA OF PERSONS MAINLY FROM ORRISA, MP & MAHARASHTRA FROM ‘WORK INDIA PORTAL’ SO THAT HE CANNOT BE APPROACHED PHYSICALLY.

With the arrest of a desperate fraudster namely, Anil Kumar R/o Distt. Firojabad (UP) Aged- 26 years and 10 other female tele-callers, Staff of PS Keshav Puram solved a cheating case registered vide case FIR No. 891/22, u/s 419/420/468/471/120B IPC and recovered 18 mobile phones, 02 Debit Cards and forged documents.
He cheated innocents by luring them on pretext of providing employment in ‘Tata Air India’ at various posts. He started cheating people mainly from Orissa, MP, Maharashtra since last 45 days and cheated more than 50, in lieu of ‘Tata Air India’ job offers. He had hired tele-callers for calling, conducting telephonic interviews and demanding money from unemployed innocent people as part of registration fees, uniform charges, etc. Accused collected data of persons mainly from Orissa, MP & Maharashtra from ‘Work India portal’ so that he cannot be approached physically.Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, said, during sustained interrogation of main mastermind Anil, he confessed that he used to run fake call center since last 45 days & cheated more than 50 and had hired female tele-callers for calling, conducting telephonic interviews and demanding money from unemployed innocent people as part of registration fees, uniform charges, etc. For this, the alleged Anil Kumar used to demand Rs 1,500 to 8,000 from them in lieu of registration fees, uniform charges, etc.
On 01.09.2022, a secret information regarding an illegal call center running at the top floor of a premise in Kanhaiya Nagar, Delhi was received. The same was conveyed to senior officers and a dedicated team led by Insp. Rajesh Kumar SHO/ Keshav Puram constituting of Insp. Bhoopendra Kumar, Insp. Mahesh Kumar, SI Vinay Malik, SI Harish Hooda, HC Kailash, Ct. Ranjeet, Ct. Ashish, Ct. Om Prakash, W/Ct. Suchita & W/ Ct. Poonam Rani was constituted under close supervision of Dr. Garima Tiwari, ACP/ Ashok Vihar and overall supervision of the undersigned.
The team collected all the necessary information and after authenticity of the information, conducted a raid at the top floor of a premise in Kanhaiya Nagar, Delhi where an illegal call center was found running. The owner of the call center Anil Kumar, aged 26 years alongwith 10 female tele-callers were found present at the premise.
On enquiry, it was revealed that the alleged Anil Kumar has been running this illegal call centre in the premise since last 45 days and used to lure gullible unemployed youth telephonically to give them job in ‘Tata Air India’ with the help of female tele-callers and also used to send them forged appointment letters of ‘Tata Air India’ through WhatsApp.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 891/22 u/s 419/420/468/471/120B IPC was registered in PS Keshav Puram and investigation was taken up.
Owner of the call center namely, Anil Kumar R/o Distt. Firojabad (UP) Aged- 26 years and 10 other female tele-callers were arrested. 18 mobile phones, one dongle, 2 debit cards of Fino Payment Bank and several forged documents were recovered from the call center.
Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, said, during sustained interrogation of main mastermind Anil, he confessed that he used to run fake call center since last 45 days & cheated more than 50 and had hired female tele-callers for calling, conducting telephonic interviews and demanding money from unemployed innocent people as part of registration fees, uniform charges, etc. For this, the alleged Anil Kumar used to demand Rs 1,500 to 8,000 from them in lieu of registration fees, uniform charges, etc.
He further disclosed that he cheated innocents by luring them on pretext of providing employment in ‘Tata Air India’ at various posts. He started cheating people from Orissa, MP, Maharashtra since last 45 days and cheated more than 50, in lieu of ‘Tata Air India’ job offers. He collected data of persons mainly from Orissa, MP & Maharashtra from ‘Work India portal’ so that he cannot be approached physically. He started this fake call-center in a rented premise of rent Rs. 16,000/- and hired the female tele-callers on a salary ranging from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 15,000/-.Further efforts are being made to trace their other possible involvements also.

Anil Kumar R/o Distt. Firojabad (UP) Aged- 26 years. He is an international Mountaineer who had scaled Killi Manjaro Mountain in Africa. Earlier he was doing business of Tour & Travels in the name and style of ‘ITS Tour & Travels’, but he suffered a huge loss in the business and therefore he started cheating innocent unemployed youths on the pretext of giving them job in ‘Tata Air India’. He is fond of travelling worldwide and living a luxurious lifestyle and in order to bear the expenses, he started cheating innocents.
Recovery:-
18 mobile phones, 02 Debit cards of Fino Payments Bank, Forged/ fake documents of ‘Tata Air India’ including ‘Appointment letters’ & other documents.
