WAR AGAINST DRUGS: 4.005 KGS OF PUREST FORM OF HEROIN RECOVERED INVOLVED IN PROCESSING AND SUPPLY OF HEROIN

Delhi Police under the leadership and directives of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji and guidance and close supervision of Commissioner of Police, Shri Sanjay Arora IPS is focusing on concerted and stringent action against drugs trafficking. Not only the specialized units of Crime Branch and Special Cell, but all the Districts and Police Stations have been tasked to undertake special drives against drugs and drug traffickers.
Recently, ANTF/Crime Branch had busted another international drug trafficking racket comprising of Afghan National Naseem Barkazy along with Indian accomplices from Delhi and Punjab. In this case, 21 Kg of Heroin was recovered. During interrogation, it was revealed that the consignment was sent from Afganistan by Zameel, under the patronage of Haji Farid.Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, said, the heroin from Afghanistan is being smuggled through Pak border (mainly by Drones) and through Arabian Sea route (containers and fishing boats). Under the guidance of MHA, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is coordinating with all the central agencies and state police forces to undertake combined operations against this menace of drug trafficking. Delhi Police is actively waging this war against drug traffickers at all levels. Action under PITNDPS is being taken against drug traffickers.

Action is also been taken against the proliferation of synthetic drugs such as curative marijuana, LSD, MDMA etc which are getting popular amongst youth and students and procured through VoIP/Wicher using couriers such as We-Fast, Uber, Swingy, Genie etc.
In continuation of this all-out campaign against drugs and drug traffickers, the team of NDR, Sec-8 RK Puram of the Crime Branch along with Gujarat ATS has arrested one Afghan national namely Wahidullah S/o Rahimullah age-22 yrs who is involved in supplying contraband narcotics substances in the Delhi-NCR region and having network in whole country with international roots. A case FIR no. 198/2022 U/s 21 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch was registered. Investigation in the case is in progress.
A team of NDR, Crime Branch, RK Puram led by Sh. Amit Goel IPS, DCP/ Crime Branch and consisting of Insp. Rakesh Sharma, Insp. Rampal , SI Samrat, SI Imran, SI Udaiveer, ASI Ashok, ASI Vikas, ASI Kirpal ,ASI Umerdeen, HC Ghanshyam, HC Irshad,HC Nahanji, HC Rahul, HC Sudhir, HC Satpal, HC Omparkash, HC Hemlata, HC Ramdas, HC Ramnaresh, under the supervision of Sh. Umesh Barthwal, ACP/NDR was constituted to work on Afghani module of narcotics suppliers pushing/manufacturing huge quantity contraband narcotics substance /heroin in Delhi-NCR region.
In this regard, inputs were received from Gujarat Police (ATS) who shared information regarding the supply of huge quantity of heroin in Delhi by an Afghan national. The above-mentioned team along with Gujarat ATS team, without wasting time developed the leads and conducted raids at various places in Delhi-NCR. They were successful in recovering contraband substance (heroin) from the possession of accused Waheedullah S/o Rahimullah (Afghan national). 3.005 kg of heroin was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, a case vide FIR no. 198/22 u/s 21 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch was registered and accused was arrested.
INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI: During interrogation, the accused Waheedullah disclosed that he came to India in the year 2016 on medical VISA for 6 months and subsequently involved in the supply of drugs with his father and a person namely Mustafa, also an Afghani and Others. He further disclosed that his father was in the business of importing dry fruits and after suffering losses in the business, he involved himself in making and supplying contraband narcotics substances in the Delhi-NCR region.
He further disclosed that they had a secret processing unit/hideout in UP, where his father Rahimullah and Mustafa Stanikzai processed and supplied Narcotics substances. His father and Mustafa are business partners. He disclosed that his father was using him as a carrier to supply these Narcotics substances to their clients in Delhi-NCR area. Subsequently, accused was produced before the court and his police custody was taken.
During investigation, further raids were conducted and additional 1 Kg of “heroin” was recovered at the instance of the arrested accused Waheedullah. Further raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused Rahimullah and Mustafa Stanikzai. Other units have also been sounded to look out for these accused and arrest them at the earliest.

He was working as a carrier to supply these Narcotics substances to their clients in Delhi-NCR area.
RECOVERY: 4.005 Kg of fine quality contraband narcotics substance ‘’Heroin”, One M/cycle Bajaj V15 used in crime recovered.
