During the Congress tenure, ex-servicemen were deployed as GOGs with the aim of taking the schemes of the Punjab government to the doorsteps and taking the benefits of those schemes to the people, but the recent AAP government in the state has given these GOG members Has shown the way out of the job, due to which hundreds of ex-servicemen have become unemployed across the state.

Due to this anger is being found among all the ex-servicemen. Today, dozens of GOG members of Abohar handed over a demand letter to Sandeep Jakhar, MLA of Abohar, with the aim of conveying their demands to the Punjab government.

In the demand letter, the OG members told that we have been humiliated by the Punjab government.

The misleading statement given by Mann Sarkar that GOG is not working is completely wrong. GOG was doing its work with utmost sincerity. The members of GOG were instrumental in bringing all the schemes of the government door-to-door. Not only this, even in Kovid-19, the members have done their work honestly without any fear.

Our dedication and respect have been questioned by the way GSOG's voluntary duties have ended. Before doing this the feedback from the villagers should have been obtained without involving the Sarpanchs/employees involved.

Due to this, many GOG members were also victims of Kovid, but regardless of anyone, they did not let their work get interrupted. He also made arrangements for the security of the quarantine centers. The GOG members also helped in the cremation of the dead in Kovid 19, also supervised the cleanliness of the canals.

Apart from this, other work which should have been done in collaboration with the government was done well by the GOG members, but the Government did not give any respect to the GOG members. But if the government of the Aam Aadmi Party, which called itself the government of the people, did not move its ears, then it would take strict action against it. Sandeep Jakhar, listening attentively to his words, assured him that he would take up these demands in the assembly on an initiative basis. He also strongly condemned the government scrapping the GOG scheme.
