Economic Offences Wing, Delhi Police has arrestedtwo accused persons namely (1) Cherian S/o Sh. Surender Nath Singh, R/o C-20, 3rd Floor, Panchsheel Enclave, New Delhi-17, Age – 35 years and (2) Meenakshi Singh W/o Sh. Manoj Kumar, R/o D-1503, Vaswani Reserve, Panathur Main Road, Kadubeensanhall, Bengaluru, Karnataka-560103, Age 36 years in Case FIR No 179/21 dated 22.11.21 U/s 409/420/468/471/120-B IPC PS EOW (New Delhi).
It is a caseofcheating, criminal breach of trust by director and forgery with the other director and partner Dr. Gandharv Goyal on the basis of forged documents tore-purchase the shares of Dr. Gandharv Goyal for a meager amount of Rs. 900/- only. Approximately same percentage of shares were issued to fresh investors for a total consideration amount of Rs. 16 crores approx. Therefore, causing wrongful loss to the partner and director Dr. Gandharv Goyal to the tune of Rs. 16 crores approx.
A Case FIR No 179/21 dated 22.11.21 U/s 409/420/468/471/120-B IPC PS EOW (New Delhi) has been registered on the complaint of Dr. Gandharv Goyal S/o Sh. Lokender Goyal R/o Flat No. 505, Tower No. A8, Klassic, Jaypee Greens, Wish Town, Sector – 134, Noida. Initially, the complainant had filed a complaint against (1) Cherian S/o Sh. Surender Nath Singh, R/o C-20, 3rd Floor, Panchsheel Enclave, New Delhi-17 and (2) Meenakshi Singh W/o Sh. Manoj Kumar, R/o D-1503, Vaswani Reserve, Panathur Main Road, Kadubeensanhall, Bengaluru, Karnataka.Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police Crime, New Delhi, during the course of investigation, it was revealed that the accused persons Dr. Cherian and Meenakshi after hatching criminal conspiracy between them floated a company at US to attract more investors in their company Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and later on re-purchased the share of Dr. Gandharv Goyal in the company M/s Synapsica Healthcare Inc., on the basis of forged signature created by DocuSign app of Gandharv Goyal. Later on, they issued same percentage of shares against the total consideration amount of Rs. 16 crores approx. to fresh investors from India as well as USA.
They were directors and share holders of “Synapsica Technologies Pvt. Ltd.”having its office at Jasola, Delhi.Both became Directors/promoters in the said company. Further, Meenakshi Singh, sister of alleged Cherian, also joined the company with a view to develop software, capable of reporting C.T. Scan, X-Ray and MRI without a radiologist doctor. Accordingly, accused Meenakshi Singh also became Director and shareholder in the said Company.
In the month of December 2019, the Company became successful and got selected in Y-Combinator (world’s best accelerator program) and also went on to raise an investment of Rs. 5 Crores approx. from various investors. Further a Company was also incorporated at USA in the name of “Synapsica Healthcare Inc.” for expanding the business in USA and a subsidiary company of M/s Synapsica Healthcare Inc was incorporated at India in the name of Synapsica Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. for expanding the business in India.
Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police Crime, New Delhi, during the course of investigation, it was revealed that the accused persons Dr. Cherian and Meenakshi after hatching criminal conspiracy between them floated a company at US to attract more investors in their company Healthcare Pvt. During investigation all the share agreements and term sheets were seized from accused persons mentioned above, ROC data obtained and analyzed, bank statements taken and analyzed and minutes book obtained and analyzed.
The accused persons were arrested from Wild Rock Resort, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu while they were escaping the investigation and were at large, by a team of Insp. Chetan Mandia, SI Harendra Singh, SI Surjit, SI Amit Kumar, W/HC Sushila and Ct. Lalit. The investigation of the case is being supervised by ACPShri Ramesh Kumar Narang and under overall supervision of DCP Shri M.I. Haider.
Profile of the Accused:-
Accused Dr. Cherian completed his MBBS from AIIMS, Delhi. Accused Meenakshi Singh completed her B.E. (Computer Science) and MBA from IIM. Both the accused are real brother & sister, who came together along with friend & partner Dr. Gandharv Goyal to start a App based business structured on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of healthcare. However, when investment flourished in the company, both the accused persons ousted Dr. Gandharv Goyal on the basis of forged & fabricated documents.
