GIANCHAND GUPTA DONATES TWO BHANDARA VANS TO SHRI MATA MANSA DEVI SAMITI

Hon'ble Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Shri Gian Chand Gupta donated two new Bhandar Vans (DQ Fund) to Shri Mata Mansa Devi Bhandara Samiti, for the purpose of distribution of free food to the needy people of District Panchkula.

Each van can carry food for 500-600 people at one go. Thus, the two vans can distribute lunch and dinner to about 2500 people daily. Both the vans were flagged off from Mata Mansa Devi Bhandara Bhawan, Temple Complex, Sector 4, MDC, Panchkula here today.

Wishing everyone a Happy Navratri, Gian Chand Gupta said that no one should sleep hungry in Panchkula, that is why Bhandara Vans are being run. The city has progressed in terms of cleanliness also. Earlier its rank was 98, which is 88 now. He justified the ban on keeping pitbulls in the city for the sake of people’s safety. Regarding the launch of 5G service by the Prime Minister, he said that Modiji has supported progress in every field. All the things have gone digital, which has benefited everyone, especially the youth. On the damage caused to crops due to heavy rain, he said that farmers should get compensation.

“The Trust is also setting up a 7-seater Modern Dental Hospital in its newly acquired commercial building at SCO-90, Sector-5, Panchkula. It will be the most modern dental clinic with latest equipment and machinery and the treatment will be cheaper than the market rates, while the treatment for poor and deserving patients will be absolutely free of cost,” added Mr Mittal.

Mr Vinod Mittal, President, Bhandara Samiti, said that he is grateful to the Hon'ble Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha for his kind contribution. The Trust now owns a fleet of 8 vans, distributing free food to around 10,000 needy people daily. In addition, the Trust also serves free breakfast, lunch and dinner to about 8,000 people at Bhandara Bhawan in the temple premises and to about 1,000 patients and their attendants at PGI Bhandara Bhawan. The Trust has an air-conditioned modern Bhandara Bhawan with a lift facility. Free food is provided to around 25,000 devotees twice a year on the occasion of Navratri also.

He expressed his gratitude to the charity sponsors of the Tricity due to which the Bhandara was successful. Bhandara is sanctioned under CSR activities and it also gives income tax exemption to donors under 80G. The Bhandara was started in 1955 with 5 kg daal and 20 kg atta, which has been progressing continuously. These activities have been getting full support from the Haryana Government and the Panchkula Administration.
