BSF ORGANISES 2160-KM MOTORCYCLE RALLY

Border Security Force DIG Ved Prakash Badola flagged off the motorcycle rally that had started Atari on Gandhi Jayanti, at the Abohar Sector headquarters here for onward journey to Bikaner. During this, hundreds of soldiers and officers carrying tricolor flags on both sides of the road raised the slogan of Bharat Mata ki Jai.

The DIG said that the rally has been organized under the Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th anniversary of independence. The team comprises 17 men of BSF Janbanj Riders and 17 women of Seema Bhawani group. The rally will cover a distance of 2160 kms in 10 days. Its next stop from Abohar has been fixed as Bikaner. After that the rally will pass through Jodhpur, Udaipur, Abu Road and will end on October 11 at Kevadia in Gujarat.

He said that the objective of organizing the rally is to motivate the youth to join the Border Security Force and also to inculcate the sense of internal security among the people. The BSF is determined to protect the international borders as well as fulfill the responsibility of internal security. Every effort is being made by such events to keep the youth away from addictions like drugs etc. OC
