The month-long centenary celebrations of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who had lived by his motto, “In the joy of others, lies our own”, will start from 15 December and conclude by January 15, 2023 in Ahmedabad.

The month-long festival is being hosted on a gigantic 600-acre site called ‘Pramukh Swami Nagar’ along the SP Ring Road, near Ognaj circle, in western Ahmedabad. The site is nearing completion into a cultural wonderland of excitement, joy and inspiration for people of all ages and backgrounds. Entry will be free of cost.

Seven large decorative gateways will welcome and guide visitors to the various zones of the festival campus. The main gate visible from the SP Ring Road is 280 feet long and 51 feet high.

The 30-feet high murti of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, perched on a 15-feet high pedestal, is encircled by 24 recesses, with each having extraordinary depictions of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s great life and work.

Murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and other Hindu deities will be enshrined in the 67-feet high massive replica of Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, allowing visitors to have darshan and offer prayers.

‘Bal Nagri’, spread over 17 acres, will be managed by children. Two open performing stages will feature various talent shows like Group Singing, Classical Music, Musical Yoga, Dangi dance, Musical Instrument Playing, Gymnastics etc. Over 150 children and youths have been practising for more than three months for these performances.

At Pramukh Swami Nagar, thousands of flowers, plants and trees have been nurtured and planted by the landscape department.
