LET’S BE PROUD OF THE CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY: JAYANT SOOD

A two-day seminar was inaugurated on Saturday on the occasion of Constitution Day at Tantia University. The topic was 'Indian Constitution- An Inspiration, Aspirations and Challenges of the Present'.

 Chief Guest Additional Solicitor General of India, Jayant Sood, said that this is the time to be proud of the Constitution and democracy. The echo of Indian democracy is all over the world. He unveiled the memorial Ashoka Chakra in the university campus.

The guest of honour in the inaugural session Dean, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Dr. Tarun Arora threw light on many points including Puran Swaraj. Key speaker, Aligarh Muslim University professor Dr. Mohammad Tariq, spoke about freedom of expression and right to live etc. The session was presided over by Tantia University President Prof. M.M. Saxena.

University Vice Chairman Dr. Mohit Tantia, Executive Director KS Sukhdev, Director Dr. Praveen Sharma, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rajendra Godara, Dr. Jagjeev Sharma, Dean Dr. Saurabh Garg, Dr. Ashok Yadav, Dr. Ajay Sharma, Rajendra Singh welcomed the guests who lighted the traditional lamps. Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Raj Kumar Jain conducted the proceedings. Bar Association President Sitaram Bishnoi, Vice President Vikram Poonia, Former Secretary Puran Ghorela, Tax Bar Association President Vikram Aggarwal were also present in this session.

The guests visited Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Jan Sewa Hospital) where Executive Director K.S. Sukhdev, Medical Superintendent Dr. H.S. Bindra and General Manager Dr. Vikas Sachdeva informed them about the services being provided to the patients. The guests paid obeisance at the memorial of Lord Dhanwantri at the University's Ayurveda College, Principal Dr. Subhash Upadhyay explained about Panchakarma and other arrangements.
