Border Security Force (BSF) troops deployed at border heard buzzing sound of suspected drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area falling near Village – Kalash Havelian, District – Tarn Taran. As per drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing. Bullet hit the Drone due to which it fell down on the ground. The whole area was cordoned and Police & concerned sister agencies were informed.
During thorough search the team of BSF and Punjab Police recovered 01 Hexacopter (Wt – appx – 23.895 kgs) in partial damaged condition along with 01 packet of narcotics suspected to be heroin (Gross wt – appx 6.670 kgs) which was lying in farming field on own side of border fencing near Village – Kalash Havelian.

As per drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing. Bullet hit the Drone due to which it fell down on the ground. BSF spokesman at Jalandhar Punjab Frontier BSF Quarter said, during initial search, BSF party recovered 01 Hexacopter (Wt –appx – 18.050 kgs) in partial damaged condition along with three suspected narcotics packets in a white colour polythene attached underneath (Gross wt – 3.110 kgs) lying in farming field on own side of border fencing near Village – Chaharpur.
The recovered contraband valuing rs. 50 crores in international market.
BSF spokesman further said, alert troops of BSF once again were able to capture a drone and foiled smuggling attempt.
