In a major breakthrough Chandigarh police has achieved a major success in a “Burglary Case” by arresting one accused namely Jaswinder Singh S/o Gurnam Singh R/o House No. 290, Mandi Dabhwali, Distt- Sirsa Haryana Age-42 Years, in Case FIR No.68 dated 19.11.2022 U/s 380,457 IPC, PS-49 Chandigarh within 48 Hrs after registration of said case.

On the directions of Sh Kuldeep Chahal, IPS, W/SSP UT Chandigarh and under close supervision of Ms. Shruti Arora, IPS, SP/City, Chandigarh a team was constituted at PS-49 Chandigarh under guidance of Sh. Charanjit Singh, SDPO/South Sub Division, headed by Inspector Jai Parkash Singh SHO, PS-49, Chandigarh.  

Police said, case FIR No.68 dated 19.11.2022 U/s 380,457 IPC, PS-49 Chandigarh has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Baljit Singh S/o Balwant Singh R/o House No. 289/1, Sector-51 A Chandigarh, wherein complainant reported that on 18.11.2022, at about 11.45 AM he along with his family went to the ring ceremony function of one of his relative at Hotel The First, Sector-43 Chandigarh.

The cousin sister of complainant namely Nirmal Kaur came from America also accompanied the complainant. After ring ceremony function, they came to house at about 6 PM along with his cousin sister Nirmal Kaur and friend Vijay Thakur along with his wife Manjeet Kaur. They kept their bags and ornaments etc at house and at about 6.30 PM, they went to Panchkula for dental check up of his cousin sister. At about 8.40 PM, they came back to house and found that the lock of main door had broken, when they entered into the house and found that one red colour bad, one blue color carry bag,

One black colour ladies bag and two handy bags were missing. When they checked the other rooms and found that the locker of their Almirah also broken and the following articles have been stolen:-1000 Dollar Canadian, 1000 Dollar American, Cash Rs. 10,000/-, 2 Gold Kara, 2 Gold Earing, 1 Gold Ring, License, Aadhar Card, HDFC Debit Card, Kotak Mohindra Card, Pan Card, Identity Card along with 6200 US Dollar, New York License, Citi Bank Credit Card, Marys Credit Card, Medical Insurance, 3 Pair Earings, Adhar Card, Pan Card of his cousin sister and 3 Gold Kara, 4 Gold Bangles, 1 Chokker Set, 1 Cocktail Ring, 1 Chain, 1 Diamonds Manglasutar, 4 Earings, 1 Diamond Ring, 1 Suit Case with clothes of his friend Vijay Thakur have been stolen.

Police team under the guidance of Dy.SP Sh. Charanjeet Singh Virk, SDPO/South Chandigarh headed by Inspector Jai Parkash Singh, SHO Police Station-49 Chandigarh made sincere efforts, gained human intelligence and showed professional acumen and has done a commendable job in arresting accused namely Jaswinder Singh S/o Gurnam Singh R/o House No. 290, Mandi Dabhwali, Distt- Sirsa Haryana Age-42 Years. The accused Jaswinder Singh has been arrested on 21.11.2022 and his police remand obtained till today i.e. 29.11.2022.

Coins of different countries.M 11. 1000 Canadian Dollar,  1200 American Dollar,  Two Pair Silver Payal.,  Two Pair Silver Challa,  One Artificial Set,  Two Wrist watches,  Two small lady purses., 

It is pertinent to mention here that accused Jaswinder Singh is a habitual offender as he was also involved in various cases of property crime and he was committed similar kind of crime. These cases of burglary i.e. FIR No.81 dated 28.06.2022 U/s 380,457 IPC PS-26 Chandigarh and FIR No. 94 dated 24.07.2022 U/s 380,457,411 IPC PS-26  have been found registered against the accused Jaswinder Singh. He is also involved in various cases of property crime i.e. Burglary cases registered in Haryana. Further investigation of the case is going on.
