BSF IG RAVI GANDHI TAKES CHARGE OF GUJARAT FRONTIER

BSF Inspector General Ravi Gandhi has taken charge of Gujarat Frontier. Prior to this he held the prestigious position of Inspector General (Administration) at BSF Headquarters, New Delhi. He has the distinct distinction of successfully commanding the highly sensitive BSF North Bengal Frontier.

Various new initiatives taken by him in border management during this tenure effectively looked after the eastern border with Bangladesh. Apart from this, he established one of the premier training institutes of BSF, the Training Center and School, Hazaribagh, which is considered a center of excellence for commando and explosives training.

Ravi Gandhi, a native of Pokhran, Jaisalmer, is 1986 batch BSF officer. He has more than 36 years of dedicated service to the nation.

Ravi Gandhi is a highly decorated BSF officer who has been awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry, Police Medal for Meritorious Service, President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak for his meritorious and distinguished services, 30 DGCs have also been awarded to him.
