On the occasion of 74th Republic Day, Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, IG BSF Punjab Frontier unfurled the National Flag and sweets were distributed among the troops at Frontier Headquarter BSF Punjab, Jalandhar.

Shri Sanjay Gaur, DIG, SHQ BSF, Amritsar unfurled the National Flag in the premises of JCP Attari, in presence of Shri Jasbir Singh, Comdt, 144 Bn BSF. DIG, SHQ BSF, Amritsar congratulated all bordermen, their families and urged them to contribute in development of the country. On this occasion, the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation, were also remembered.

The Retreat Ceremony parade was graced by the presence of Shri PV Rama Sastry, IPS, ADG, Western Command, Chandigarh alongwith Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, IG BSF Punjab Frontier. Various cultural programmes were also performed by students of IIM and Saint Francis School, Amritsar.

Besides this, musical performance by Mr Satinder Sartaj (famous Punjabi singer) accompanied by Ms Neeru Bajwa (Punjabi actress) mesmerized the spectators.

On this occasion, sweets / pleasantries were presented by BSF to Pakistan Rangers at various locations on border.

All the BSF Units / Sectors / Establishments under Punjab Frontier celebrated the 74th Republic Day with great nationalistic fervour at their respective locations.
