DELHI POLICE WORK OUT HIGH PROFILE ABDUCTION CASE IN SIX HOURS WITH HELP OF PUNJAB POLICE

• TWO ABDUCTORS ARRESTED BY THE JOINT EFFORTS OF DELHI POLICE & PUNJAB POLICE. • VICTIM WAS SAFELY RECOVERED FROM THE CLUTCHES OF ABDUCTORS WITHIN A SPAN OF 06 HOURS.

A PCR call vide DD No. XX dated 03.02.2023 was received at Police Station Kashmere Gate that “Mere Jeeja Sayad Tarikh, Age-40 Years Ko Kuch Kashmiri Log Kashmiri Gate Ke Aas Pass Se Utha Kar Le Gaye Hain” the same was entrusted to SI K.L. Kuldeep for further necessary action.

The caller was not found present at the spot as well as no incident was found to be reported in this regard near Kashmere Gate, Delhi. The caller was contacted over telephone who stated that he is calling from Kashmir and was not present at the spot.

Keeping in view of past incident of Kanjhawala, the Senior Officers immediately informed about the facts of call. All Mobile Patrolling Vans were rushed to the spot and were further deployed on the task to get some clue about the incident.

Local enquiry with passers-by and vendors around was conducted and all Tour and Travel offices existing in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Kashmere Gate, Delhi were visited. During this enquiry, it was revealed that two Kashmiri persons have abducted one kashmiri from Hare Rama Travels, Kashmere Gate, Delhi. The CCTV footage near Hare Rama Travels were analysed and it was revealed that the abductors forcefully abducted one kashmiri in a vehicle i.e. Swift Dzire having Taxi number.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 134/23, dated 03.02.2023, u/s 365/506/34 IPC was registered at PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION: A dedicated police team comprising of SI KL Kuldeep, ASI Balwan, HC Rajesh and HC Rakesh Kumar was formed, under the close supervision of Inspr. Kumar Jiweshwar, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate and guidance of Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali to nab the culprits and to crack the case.

Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, DCP, North Distt, said, during investigation, the CCTV footages of all the cameras deployed on the route to Kashmir were checked around the crime scene. Local sources were deployed and secret informers were also deployed to get breakthrough into the case. During investigation of case, it was revealed that the alleged vehicle is going towards Kashmir through G.T. Karnal Road. They were immediately chased and W.T. message was immediately flashed to SSPs Haryana and Punjab states.

All the efforts of the team bore fruits when the abductors were intercepted at City Phagwara, Punjab with the help of Punjab Police. The victim was safely recovered from the clutched of abductors and both were arrested accordingly.

INTERROGATIONDuring interrogation of the accused, both of them confessed about their involvement in the present kidnapping case. Further, it was revealed that both the parties are business partners and there is a money dispute of Rs. 55 lacs between victim and kidnappers. The victim was not in position to re-pay his debt. When the victim opposed in paying his debt, both the abductors threatened him to kill and threatened him to quietly go with them to Jammu and Kashmir and if he will speak to someone in-between, his dead body will not be found.

MODUS OPERANDI:To recover Rs. 55 lacs from the family members of victim after abducting the victim. The accused persons posed themselves as police officers before the Taxi Driver who was hired by them.

DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSONS: Nishar Ahmad R/o Village Pahroo Navgav, Tehsil Bikepoora, District Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir, age-48 Yrs.  Imtiyaz Ahmad R/o Village Pahroo Navgav, Tehsil Bikepoora, District Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir, age-48 Yrs.

RECOVERY: • Two mobile phones of the accused persons.
