Keeping in view of Holi Festival, Chandigarh Police has made special arrangementson08.03.2023, to avoid any untoward incidents and to maintain Law & Order in the city. On08.03.2023, approximately 850 police personnel including 8 GOs, 25 SHO’s/Inspectors, 800NGOs/ORs will be deployed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to keep watch on miscreants etc.

The special 64 floating Nakas from Police Stations will be laid at different places from9 AMto4PMand 6 PM to 10 PM. Outer border Nakas will be effective from 9 AM to 4 PMand 6 PMto10PM. The PCR vehicles patrolling will be intensified around the Girls Hostels, Panjab University, Geri Route with special cheetah motor cycles remain active in the Colony areas.

THE SPECIAL 64 FLOATING NAKAS FROM POLICE STATIONS WILL BE LAID AT DIFFERENT PLACES FROM9 AMTO4PMAND 6 PM TO 10 PM. OUTER BORDER NAKAS WILL BE EFFECTIVE FROM 9 AM TO 4 PMAND 6 PMTO10PM. THE PCR VEHICLES PATROLLING WILL BE INTENSIFIED AROUND THE GIRLS HOSTELS, PANJAB UNIVERSITY, GERI

A limitedvehiclezone will be at Geri Route from 11/12 T-point to small chowk Sector 9/10, Chandigarh. Adequate arrangements are also being made at Sukhna Lake, Elante Mall, Markets Sector 15, 11, 17, 22, 20, Hostels and other institutions. The drunken driving Nakas will be placesat all important places, light points in the city. Special focus will be kept on colonies and slumareastoo.

The special drive will be carried to curb eve-teasing, hooliganism and drinking at publicplaces.
