Team of AGS/Crime Branch, Dwarka, on the basis of specific information, has apprehended an accused named Pradeep @ Habbu, 39 years R/o Village Bapdola, Najafgarh, Delhi from near Dwarka Metro Station. The accused Pradeep @ Habbu has been involved in a recent attempt to murder case of Najafgarh area, wherein, accused along-with his associates namely Sushil Dass attacked Akash Nath, a Sant of Rana Ji Enclave Temple. In this firing incident, the target Akash Nath escaped narrowly but one of his devotees sustained bullet injury. In this regard, a case FIR No. 86/2023 dated 15.02.2023 u/s 307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act PS. Najafgarh, Delhi was registered.
The accused Pradeep @ Habbu is a sharp shooter of Ashok Pradhan-Neetu Dabodhiya Gang. Accused alongwith his associate Ravinder @ Solanki was also involved in brutal murder of a police constable named Tanveer of PS Ranhola in the year 2011, by firing 5 bullets on Ct. Tanveer, while he was on duty.
The accused Pradeep @ Habbu hails from a poor family residing at Village- Baprola, Najafgarh, Delhi. He was born in 1983 and studied up to 7th standard from a Govt. school in Baprola. His father used to work in a plastic factory at Ranhola, Delhi. He came in touch with bad elements of his village. He remained involved in heinous cases of murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act, Riots etc.
The accused roped hands with one Ravinder @ Solanki of his village and started grabbing land illegally. Their modus-operandi was to create unnecessary dispute over properties of poor. They would claim ownership of the land and then settle the matter by taking hefty amounts from genuine owners. Beat officer Tanvir of Ranhola Police Station was aware of their tricks and used to keep an eye on their activities.
Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime,said on 13.02.2022, victim Sant Akash Nath had organised a Bhandara in the temple situated at Rana Ji Enclave, Najafgarh and invited all the nearby Sants of the Nath community. One Sushil Dass r/o Village Baprola also proclaims to be Sant of the Nath community. He is married and having a temple in his house at village Baprola.He was not invited to the Bhandara and he was not happy with that. He along with accused Pradeep @ Habbu and others reached the temple at Rana Ji Enclave, Najafgarh and starting arguing with Akash Nath by saying why was he not invited in the Bhandara.
Whenever any property owner used to approach them for sale or purchase of a plot, Tanvir used to intervene and caution the party not to get trapped. He had been able to restrict their illegal activities, which caused huge losses to them. So, the accused persons decided to settle the score with the beat constables. On the day of incident in the year 2011, accused Pradeep along with his close aide Ravinder @ Solanki, barged into the farmhouse where the deceased stayed and pumped five bullets in his body.
Presently, the gang leader Ashok Pradhan and Pradeep @ Habbu were planning to kill their rival gangster Neeraj Bawania and his associates lodged in different jails during their production in courts in order to take revenge of killing of their associates by the members of Neeraj Bawania gang.
The gang was earlier led by desperate Neetu Dabodhia, who was killed in an encounter by Delhi Police in October, 2013. The gang had created terror in various parts of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab by committing a series of consecutive murders in gang-wars and also indulged in big robberies etc. After death of the gang leader Neetu Dabodhia, Ashok Pradhan r/o Village Nilothi, Bahadurgarh, Haryana took over the command of the gang, who is adding budding criminals to the gang. This gang has recently been associated with gang of the dreaded Manjeet Mahal, active in West, South-West and Outer District of Delhi and adjoining areas of Haryana while their rivals are Krishan Pahalwan gang & Neeraj Bawania gang. Neeraj Bawania is presently lodged in Tihar jail.

During the heated arguments, accused Pradeep @ Habbu took out his pistol and fired targeting Sant Akash Nath. But somehow, Akash Nath escaped narrowly but one of his devotees sustained bullet injury. Thereafter, all the accused persons ran away from there. Accused has been handed over to local police of police station Najafgarh.
One accused named Sikander @ Rohit r/o Baprola, Nangloi, Delhi had aleady been arrested by Crime Branch.
