SENSATIONAL MONEY HEIST WORTH RS 40 LAKH WORKED OUT, aARRESTED ACCUSED WERE ABOUT TO LEAVE DELHI FOR SHIMLA

• TWO NOTORIOUS THIEVES INDULGED IN STEALING CASH RS. 40 LAKH FROM THE BAG OF VICTIM ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PP RED FORT, PS KOTWALI.  THE ACCUSED PERSONS WERE IDENTIFIED BY ANALYZING CCTV FOOTAGES AND ARRESTED WITH THE HELP OF HUMAN INTELLIGENCE. • STOLEN CASH WORTH RS. 38 LAKH OF THE (OUT OF RS 40 LAKH) RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION AS WELL AS AT THEIR INSTANCE.,THE ACCUSED PERSONS RANDOMLY TARGETS THE MOTORCYCLISTS CARRYING BAG PACK AND FOLLOWS THE SPOTTED MOTORCYCLISTS ON THE ROAD AND THEN STEAL THE VALUABLES FROM THE BAG. • THE ACCUSED PERSONS AFTER COMMITTING THE SUCCESSFUL HEIST, THEY LEAVE DELHI FOR ANY OUTSTATION IN INDIA AND COME BACK TO DELHI WHEN THE HEAT OF THE CRIME SETTLES DOWN.

On 01.03.2023, a criminal case vide FIR No. 250/23 u/s 379 IPC was got registered at PS Kotwali, wherein the complainant Shri Umesh Kumar R/o Som Bazar Road, Rajpuri, Dwarka, Delhi, stated that he works for Mr. Aneesh as Assistant in his company L.N. International LLP (The company sends the MBBS aspiring students to foreign medical colleges for studying medical).

The complainant stated that on 01.03.2023 his owner asked the complainant to take an amount of Rs. 40 Lakh from Mahadev Enterprises i.e. 287, Kuccha Ghasi Ram and handover the said money to his friend in North Avenue, New Delhi. At about 04:10 PM, the complainant took the amount of Rs. 40 Lakh from Mahadev Enterprises in his bag and left for North Avenue on a motorcycle and when complainant was on his way from Kodia Pul to Chhatha Rail towards lower Subhash Marg Road, he suspected lightness in his bag. Hence, the complainant immediately stopped his motorcycle and checked his bag wherein he found that whole money was stolen from his bag. Hence the complainant made PCR call and got the present case FIR registered whose investigation was taken up by the local police.

TEAM & OPERATION: Considering the gravity of such a sensational money heist wherein a huge amount of Rs. 40 Lakh was stolen in a broad day light a dedicated staff of PP Red fort namely SI Ramesh Chand, HC Amit, HC Than Singh, HC Kapil, HC Paramjeet, HC Sourav and Ct Rahul was immediately constituted by SI Kawaljeet Singh (In-charge PP Red fort) and Inspr. Neeraj Kumar headed by Sh. Ved Prakash, SHO/PS Kotwali, under the overall supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/Sub-Division, Kotwali, Delhi.

The team immediately activated all the informers, conducted technical surveillance and simultaneously checked all the CCTV cameras pointing towards the alleged route. It is worth mentioning here that all the history sheeters with such modus operandi were also interrogated in this regard and raids were conducted on the suspected persons. Resultantly on 05.03.2023 an information about the perpetuators of above said incident was received to the dedicated team of PP red fort wherein it was informed that the accused persons who have stolen Rs. 40 Lakh from one motorcyclist on 01.03.2023 will gather at Y-Point Bus Stop, Delhi Chalo Park in the wee hours with the intent to leave Delhi for Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

During interrogation, when both the accused persons were asked to establish the source of recovered money worth Rs. 4 Lakh, then initially they tried to mislead the raiding team, but during detailed interrogation disclosed that they along with their third accomplice namely Sagar have stolen the said money on 01.03.2023 from one motorcyclist near Red Fort Red Light and after committing the said incident they have distributed Rs. 2 Lakh amongst themselves and stashed the remaining amount of Rs 34 Lakh in Multani Dhanda, Paharganj, Delhi.

On receipt of such information, SI Kawaljeet Singh immediately informed all the facts of the information to the immediate senior officers who directed to immediately conduct a raid. Hence, the team was immediately dispatched to the place of information and trap was laid down. As soon as the accused persons appeared at Y-Point Bus stop, Delhi Chalo Park, then the informer immediately passed the predefined raiding signal to the team. Hence, the raiding team immediately swung into action and caught hold of the two persons wherein one of them tried to flee away, but the alert and vigilant HC Amit chased down the running accused.

As soon as the said accused persons were nabbed, they were immediately checked and frisked to ensure that the person must not be carrying any life threatening/harming article and nothing of that sought was recovered though cash amount of Rs. Four Lakh was recovered from both the accused persons identified as Akash, age-25 years and Abhbishek, age-28 years.

INTERROGATION: During interrogation, when both the accused persons were asked to establish the source of recovered money worth Rs. 4 Lakh, then initially they tried to mislead the raiding team, but during detailed interrogation disclosed that they along with their third accomplice namely Sagar have stolen the said money on 01.03.2023 from one motorcyclist near Red Fort Red Light and after committing the said incident they have distributed Rs. 2 Lakh amongst themselves and stashed the remaining amount of Rs 34 Lakh in Multani Dhanda, Paharganj, Delhi.

However, when both the accused persons were asked to establish the whereabouts of the third accused, then they stated that they have planned to gather today at Y-Point Bus Stop, Delhi Chalo Park, wherein after that they were to leave Delhi for Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, but unfortunately the third accused didn’t come. Later on, when accused persons were asked about the whereabouts of the remaining heist amount of Rs 34 Lakh, then they got perplexed and broke up to get the remaining amount recovered. Hence, at the instance of both the accused persons remaining amount of Rs 34 Lakh was recovered from Multani Dhanda, Pahargaj, Delhi.

Hence, suitable action as per the law was taken and both the accused persons were arrested in above said case FIR No. 250/23 u/s 379 IPC, PS Kotwali, Delhi as per the procedure of the law wherein the recovered total amount of Rs 38 Lakh was seized vide making separate seizure memos.

MODUS OPERANDI: , Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, DCP, North Distt., said, during detailed interrogation, both the accused persons i.e. Abhishek and Akash stated that they randomly targets the motorcyclists carrying bag pack and follows the spotted motorcyclists on the road. After distracting the motorcyclist in any sought of quarrel/help steals the spotted bag pack of the motorcyclists with its belongings. Accused persons also stated that after committing the successful heist they leave Delhi for any outstation in India and comes back to Delhi when the heat of the crime settles down.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:
1. Akash R/o Basti Julan, Bageechi Raghunath, Sadar Bazar, Delhi, age-25 years. (Previously found involved in two criminal cases).

2. Abhishek R/o Gali Multani Dhanda, Paharganj, Delhi, age-28 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).

RECOVERY:
1. Cash of Rs. 38 Lakh. (Out of Rs. 40 Lakh).

2. One Bag pack in which the heist amount was kept.

The investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest 3rd associate namely Sagar and to recover remaining stolen cash.
