Keeping in view of the increase in property crime cases i.e. Snatching/ Robbery/Theft etc. in the city, as per the directions of SSP Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur IPS, under the close supervision of SP City ShrutiArora IPS, a team comprising of SDPO/East Ms. Palak Goel, DANIPS along with officials of PS-Ind. Area was constituted.
On Saturday police achieved a major success by arresting accused person namely MohdAltaf S/o MohdMobin R/o H No 1660-B, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh Age 19 years on a secret information from near Slaughter House, Phase-1, Ind Area, Chandigarh, who was involved in snatching Case FIR No 21 dated 10.03.2023, U/s 379-A,34 IPC Added 411 IPC, Chandigarh, which was registered on the complaint of Rakesh S/o Sipahi Chaudhary R/o # 294, Village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh.
In his statement complaintant said, he is doing a private job at Plot No 228, Phase-1, Ind Area, Chandigarh and on date 07-03-2023 at around 10 PM, he was going to his home by foot after his duty, when he reached near Citco Petrol Pump, Phase-1, Ind Area Chandigarh, two boys came from behind on Activa and snatched his mobile phone One plus, IMEI No 867778064530911, 867778064530903, having sim no 9888373225 and fled away.
(SUBHEAD)During the course of investigation snatched mobile phone One Plus Forest green colour alongwith 9 other costly smart phones snatched/stolen from different sectors of Chandigarhrecovered from his possession, which have been taken into police possession U/s 102 CrPC. Accused produced before the Hon’ble court and his 03 days police remand obtained to arrest his co- accused,to recover the Activa used in crime as well as to verify from whom he stolen/snatched the other mobile phones, recovered from him. Investigation of the case is going on.
