Continuing its efforts to curb drunken driving on the roads of City Beautiful in Chandigarh on 14.03 .2023 nine 09 persons convicted for drunken drive for fine Rs 10000/- each and their licenses have also been suspended for six months by the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate UT. Chandigarh total compounding fees Rs 90,000/- imposed.
So far during the year from 01.01.23 to till date 435 Persons have been booked for drunken drive and 38 driving licenses suspended for six months. Further more the drive against drunken driving will continue in future for the safety and benefit of public in general on road.
