FOUR INCLUDING THREE TEACHERS DIED, SEVERAL INJURED IN A ROAD ACCIDENT NEAR FEROZEPUR

Four persons including three teachers had died while ten others got injured following an accident which took place today morning at around 7.15 am near Village Khai Pheme ki on Ferozepur-Fazilka road. The incident took place when when a Force Trax vehicle coming from Jalalabad side got hit head on with a Punjab Roadways bus. 

 Due to the accident, four persons including the driver of the Trax vehicle identified as Ashok, a resident of Village Daroga Chakk in Fazilka district, three teachers including Prince Kamboj (29) resident of Village Peer Mohammad in Amir Khas area of Fazilka district, Kanchan Chugh (38) resident of Village Kotli in Jalalabad TehsIl of Fazilka district and Maninder Kaur, resident of Village Asal ke Hithar in Jalalabad lost their lives.
 

Due to the accident, four persons including the driver of the Trax vehicle identified as Ashok, a resident of Village Daroga Chakk in Fazilka district, three teachers including Prince Kamboj (29) resident of Village Peer Mohammad in Amir Khas area of Fazilka district, Kanchan (38) resident of Village Kotli in Jalalabad TehsIl of Fazilka district and Maninder Kaur, resident of Village Asal ke Hithar in Jalalabad lost their lives. 

While Ashok, Prince and Kabchan Chugh died on the spot, Maninder later succumbed to the injuries. As per information, a total number of 14 persons including driver were travelling in the Trax vehicls. 10 other persons who were also traveling in the Trax also sustained injuries and were admitted in a private hospital in city area. 

As soon as the matter was reported, MLA Ranbir Bhullar besides DC Rajesh Dhiman and SSP Bhupinder Singh reached the spot and supervised relief operations. 

DC Rajesh Dhiman said that the administration has informed the family members of the deceased, and the injured were taken care off, adding that the administration was trying to ascertain the cause behind the mishap.

Meanwhile Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has expressed profound grief over the death of three teachers and a driver in a road accident near Village Khai Feme, Jalalabad.Extending his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families of these teachers Kanchan, Prince and Maninder, Mr. Harjot Bains prayed to the Almighty to give them strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed souls. They will always be remembered for his immense contribution towards the field of education, he added. The Cabinet Minister also directed the district administration to ensure proper medical care for injured teachers.
