A progressive farmer of Panjkosi village, Jaiveer Jakhar has secured the first position in the entire state in the sugarcane crop competition during the Kisan Mela organized by Punjab Agricultural University at the PAU campus in Ludhiana.
A two-day Kisan Mela was organized at PAU on March 24 and 25, in which farmers from all over the state participated. Jaiveer Jakhar also participated in the Kisan Mela with his sugarcane crop. In terms of production as well as quality, he got the first position across the state. He was awarded the first prize at the felicitation ceremony held on Saturday. The PAU top scientists presented a certificate and a memento to him.
